Illegal Immigrant is Not a Derogatory Term

Last Week, an eerily Orwellian opinion article by Leo Laurence was published by the Society Of Professional Journalists.  The post declared that “illegal immigrant” is to be considered an offensive term and that “undocumented worker” should be used instead.  Some illegal immigrants don’t work and/or may have falsified documents.  Neither undocumented nor working are accurate terms in all cases with ...

The San Antonio Express-News printed a front-page article today highlighting an audit that was done by the Homeland Security Department’s Office of the Inspector General. U.S. Border agents are failing to fully enforce laws requiring U.S., Mexican, and Canadian citizens to present passports or other documents to enter the United States. Basically, people are entering the United States without any ...

I am going to let the video speak for itself.  Mr. Lawson is a small-government, strong-border, free-market Conservative.  Sure, he’s got the GOP label on him, but that doesn’t define him.  Listen, learn and support if you can. A few more links so you can get to know the Representative you wish you had: Lawson polling ahead of Price Illegal ...

From Immigrants to Democrats: The Citizenship USA Program

Attempting to Naturalize as many new Americans as possible for votes is nothing new to the Democratic Party. Though it looks like the Obama Administration may conduct this goal through a blanket amnesty, the Clinton Administration tried to create more Democrats a different way, by taking  advantage of a program called Citizenship USA. Heres a little background. In 1995 the INS ...

It’s been a busy afternoon.  There are numerous conflicting reports about the U.S. incursion by one of Mexico’s most-violent drug gangs, Los Zetas.  I started out concerned, then confused, and finally .. well.. still kinda confused. I was born and raised in Texas and still have a lot of family there (quite a bit in South Texas), so this story ...

The ...

The Case Against Arizona

The Obama administration failed to secure our borders, failed to shame Governor Brewer into submission and failed to get the American people to side with them in the immigration debate.  Obama has now presented a case against Arizona’s immigration law.  Another failure queued-up?  Perhaps the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clauseholds the key (but when was the last time Barack could be bothered ...

Obama’s Idea of Immigration Enforcement: Whack-a-Mole

Other than suing any state willing to go after illegal immigrants, the White House has done precious little to secure our borders.  Lately, the Obama administration has turned to that age old arcade favorite, “whack-a-mole” for guidance. The New York Times reports that the current administration has replaced work-place raids with audits. While the sweeps of the past commonly led ...

Mexico Opens Illegal Alien Processing Center on U.S. Soil

The Washington Examiner is reporting that Mexico has the audacity to actually help Mexican nationals commit crimes within U.S. borders. The Mexican government is opening a satellite consular office on Catalina Island — a small resort off the California coast with a history of drug smuggling and human trafficking — to provide the island’s illegal Mexican immigrants with identification cards ...

What’s Really Happening with Arizona’s Immigration Law?

rizona Governor, Jan Brewer signed her State's new tough immigration bill into law this week. There is heavy support from Arizona residents, but firm opposition from liberal-leaning organizations. Arizona has been pleading for assistance from the Federal government for years, so this is not a new problem, nor did Obama cause it. Immigration was a problem Obama had promised to solve in the first year of his presidency and his failure to follow-through has given Governor Brewer no choice but to act at the State level.
