President Trump Calls For Congress To Ban Fourth Trimester Abortions

President Donald Trump slammed laws allowing for infanticide in Virginia and New York as he called on Congress to ban fourth-trimester abortions.

The days of the left viewing abortion as something that should be safe legal and rare are over and President Donald Trump discussed this fact at the State of the Union condemning the New York bill which legalized Fourth Trimester Abortions, and A similar Virginia bill which almost passed.

“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days,” Trump said. “Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments from birth. These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he stated he would execute a baby after birth. To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life.”

Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) put legislation on the floor of the Senate which would penalize doctors who don’t “exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion,” as Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) went on record for the Senate Democrats opposing a bill that would prohibit infanticide.

She said that Ralph Northam’s following comments were taken out of context, the comments as following, “When we talk about third-trimester abortions, these are done with the consent of obviously the mother, with the consent of the physicians, more than one physician, by the way,” Northam said. “And it’s done in cases where there may be severe deformities, there may be a fetus that’s non-viable. So in this particular example, if a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother. So I think this was really blown out of proportion.”

Patty Murray must know more than the author of the bill Delegate Kathy Tran who said when asked could the mother can abort the baby when she is in labor, Kathy Tran responded, “My bill would allow that, yes.” Putting aside Ms. Tran’s admission, how can anyone twist Ralph Northam’s words he talked about delivering the baby and discussing whether to kill it or not.

Democratic politicians have wanted to avoid directly addressing Governor and former physician Ralph Northam’s abortion comments instead trying to turn the argument into being about claiming the GOP wants to entirely get rid of Roe v Wade which there is no evidence of, they didn’t even touch on the subject of defunding Planned Parenthood when push came to shove.

Any future legislation proposed will very unlikely pass the Democratic-controlled House, it is more than likely than President Trump called on Congress to propose legislation banning Fourth Trimester abortions so he can get every single member of Congress on the record as to whether they stand with newborn babies or the comments from Ralph Northam endorsing infanticide.
