Rep. McCarthy: Soros, Bloomberg, Steyer ‘trying to buy our government’
Rep. Kevin McCarthy says that three deep-pocketed leftists are trying to buy the 2018 elections and the whole of the U.S. government.
“Just think of, of the three individuals that are funding the Democratic party,” McCarthy told Maria Bartiromo Sunday on Fox News. McCarthy listed George Soros, Michael Bloomberg and Tom Steyer as the three men hoping to buy the 2018 midterm election and even a presidential nomination in 2020.
“Those three individuals are trying to buy our government,” McCarthy exclaimed. “It’s very disturbing!”
Bloomberg has sunk $80 million into U.S. House races and another $20 million in the Senate, according to McCarthy.
“Then Tom Steyer’s more than $120 million he has spent trying to win,” he added. “His main goal is trying to impeach President Trump.”
Soros-funded groups pledged $5 million just to stop Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation and if his past spending history is any indication, the multi-billionaire could sink tens of millions into the 2018 midterm elections.
