A.F.Branco Cartoon ; No Money in the Australian killed by 2 black teens for Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton
One would think that after enduring a nationally–televised trial and being the subject of a current Department of Justice witch hunt, George Zimmerman would finally mind his own business. But no, Zimmerman continues to poke his nose into situations better handled by public safety professionals. (As I’ve previously written about in ‘The only thing George Zimmerman didn’t do is play lacrosse’ and ‘Nine out of ten journalists say, “Guilty!”’)
Last Wednesday, Zimmerman came across a Ford Explorer that had just been involved in a car crash. The SUV had turned over and a family of four was trapped inside as the damaged car began smoking.
If Zimmerman would simply take the advice of experts like Russell Moore, the recently appointed head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, he would have either stayed in his car and dialed 9–1–1 or simply driven down the road; content in the knowledge that expert medical specialists were on the way and would no doubt be on scene before the car exploded.
But no, this EMT wannabe had to jump out of his car and rush over to the wreck where he helped the family escape. The only thing Zimmerman didn’t do was arrange a news conference to announce his deed. The media learned of his unauthorized rescue activities when the Seminole County Sheriff’s office announced it on Monday. So at least Zimmerman is not guilty of practicing PR without a license.
Moore thinks Zimmerman is a buttinski who is causing white America to forget it should be feeling guilty. In an interview with the Washington Post Moore explains, “Most white evangelicals, white Americans, are seeing this microscopically in terms of this verdict, and most African Americans are seeing it macroscopically. It’s Trayvon Martin, it’s Emmitt Till, it’s Medgar Evers, it’s my son, it’s my neighbor’s son, it’s my situation that I had. . . . Most white Americans say, “We don’t know what happened that night,” and [whites] are missing the point.”
Moore doesn’t explain why white Americans are taking their lead on racial solidarity from a Hispanic like Zimmerman. But as a Southern Baptist, I can assure you I’ll think twice before I take my theology lead from Dr. Moore.
Lining up with the “Rev.” Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson (who has been known to feel a bit uneasy in the past when approached by black youth wearing gang attire), Moore goes on to say, “Regardless of what Trayvon Martin was doing or not doing that night, you have someone who was taking upon himself some sort of vigilante justice, even by getting out of the car. Regardless of what the legal verdict was, this was wrong.”
Based on that statement, I’m going to assume Moore also gave the movie Machine Gun Preacher two thumbs down. Regardless of the good doctor’s movie preferences, the ignorance and arrogance in that statement are breathtaking.
George Zimmerman was the neighborhood watch captain and he was on patrol that night. He was watching, which is what the neighborhood watch does. Zimmerman lived in the neighborhood, Martin did not. The angelic and childlike Martin was staying with his father’s girlfriend because he was serving his third suspension from school and mom was tired of being disobeyed.
Zimmerman was already outside his car looking for Martin when the 9–1–1 dispatcher said, “Okay, we don’t need you to do that.” The dispatcher is not a sworn law enforcement officer and the statement does not have the force of law. Different dispatchers will tell you different things. When Moore has guests over for dinner and they show up with food or a bottle of vintage Welch’s (he is a Baptist, after all) and the wife says, “Oh, you didn’t have to do that,” does Moore force them to return the item to their car?
Besides, there actually was crime in the area Zimmerman volunteered to patrol. Police records show eight burglaries, nine thefts and one shooting in the prior year. Cynthia Wibker, secretary of the homeowner’s association, observed, “He once caught a thief and an arrest was made. (Zimmerman) helped solve a lot of crimes.”
The behavior that Moore advocates closely resembles what witnesses to the fatal confrontation actually did. One man heard the commotion, looked out the window and called 9–1–1. Since he wasn’t a “vigilante” or “wannabe” that was the sum total of his civic duty for the evening.
Yet if he had walked outside and yelled at Martin to stop pounding Zimmerman because he was calling the police, there’s a chance Martin would have stopped and thereby survived the encounter.
Instead, by being the Passive Samaritans, witnesses did nothing to protect anyone’s life. Even the police will tell you when seconds count — they are minutes away.
Moore finishes destroying his credibility by observing, “And when you add this to the larger context of racial profiling and a legal system that does seem to have systemic injustices as it relates to African Americans with arrests and sentencing, I think that makes for a huge crisis. . . ”
This inaccurate cant is something you expect from a Berkeley sociology professor. It’s always a bit daunting to cast Bible verses at a theologian, but does the phrase “for whatever one sows, that will he also reap” ring a bell for Dr. Moore?
Most of us won’t ever be involved in a fight for our lives, but the following could well happen. Let’s say you find yourself alone and in trouble on a dark, cold and rainy night. Who would you rather have chance by and observe your predicament: Russell Moore or George Zimmerman?
Pastor James David Manning gives a sermon of Truth that American doesn’t want to hear!
George Zimmerman did what The Word of God told him to do! Deuteronomy 21 : 18 – 21
“Bless these Skittles and Iced Tea- that they will become for us the body and the blood of Christ?”
This video literally makes me sick to my stomach, to the point of vomiting! As a Christian, this is out right blasphemy! This is the worship of Trayvon Martin, NOT Jesus Christ! Whether or not you believe that “justice” has been served, the “sermon” that this “Pastor” gives is sickening!
The Stand For Truth article summed it up very eloquently:
“But if you’re doing a church service to honor Trayvon Martin rather than Jesus, it makes sense in a strange sort of way.”
Notice when the “Pastor” instructs the congregation to “partake” of the Skittles, he says to “enjoy the sweet treats”.
NEVER, in taking Holy Communion, have I “enjoyed” the Elements. Thankful, grateful, overwhelmed, with love that I cannot truly express- yes. But NEVER have I “enjoyed” them! To know what my Jesus did for me is not something I “enjoy”! It overwhelms me to know He CHOSE to pay the price for me with His blood, but it is not something I enjoy!
We have truly reached a new low, America! Beware! God’s mercy WILL NOT hold out forever!
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20
There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.” (1911) - Booker T. Washington.”
There is a class of people in this nation that are the problem profiteering pimps of race baiting who gain nothing from eliminating the source of barriers that block progress for black people. That is why they have nurtured the frenzy of hate against George Zimmerman.
They worked for well over a century, even before 1911 to manufacture a hysteria that could bolster their own economic standing in terms of their bank account, with no account for validity, accuracy or the truth. Their practices have been hewn from the tree of hate, because it is in hate that they rise and it is in falseness that they thrive. Black progress is their adversary and nemesis.
Zimmerman’s innocence is of no matter to race baiters because it is easier to manufacture a lie which they can easily push than a truth which forces the black public to look inside and ask questions about their own true issues. So deflection, cries of denunciation and of racial injustice against Trayvon Martin was the banner they designed and carried against George Zimmerman last year. Even though the prosecutors found no proof and the FBI investigation found no proof indicating profiling… race baiters like Al Sharpton insisted George Zimmerman was guilty and sold this narrative to the public. It nearly got him convicted!
Yet there was a truth which was not shared. Yet is as punishing as it is illuminating. Out of the mouth of the only true witness to the words and the deeds of Trayvon Martin’s last minutes alive, came an alarming insight. Rachel Jeantel seemed to imply on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Live.” Show early this week, that it was Trayvon Martin who approached the car of George Zimmerman.
According to her, it was Trayvon Martin who profiled George Zimmerman and caused a dangerous down spiraling to ensue because she suggested to Martin that Zimmerman might be a gay man who could be a rapist.
So if the words of the only person who actually was talking to Trayvon Martin is suggesting that Martin did not run away when he could have, but instead approached the car of Zimmerman, where was the “hunting down” of Martin?
When it comes to civil rights, whose civil rights were being violated? This is a question that legitimate fact finding can arrive at a conclusion on. Consider that the FBI had already done an intensive investigation to determine if Zimmerman’s past conduct demonstrated he had a propensity to racially profile blacks or that he was a rabid racist.
The FBI investigators arrived at the conclusion that there was no evidence as in nada, that Zimmerman was a proven racist who would or could lie in wait for the opportunity to racially profile and murder a black youth for no reason.
Again, not the narrative that race hustlers want to hear or to accept. Their future income depends upon stirring the pot so that their bank account grows fatter or the television or media ratings increase, as in the case of Al Sharpton’s’ little watched MSNBC show.
The jury’s decision to find George Zimmerman innocent on murder and manslaughter charges all but threatened to stop the manufactured racism money gravy train for the celebrated liberal media who were startled that justice did work. Unfortunately it was not the result that they wanted, so again the cries of racism have filled the skies and the air waves.
Unfortunately, in all of the continued hysteria a young man is dead and another man has to live with the knowledge of his actions. Those are the facts of this tragic occurrence. In all death there is life and one would hope and pray that there are lessons that America as a whole can learn from this, and it is not a simple discussion of race.
It should be a discussion that parents have with their own children about looking past the fears that are planted by race baiting on either side. Let it be a lesson of what the bible says about hate, injustice and persecution through hysteria:
“Exodus 23:1-3 “You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness. You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice, nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.”
The only person alive, with the exception of Zimmerman who heard and spoke with Trayvon Martin was Rachel Jeantel his friend on the phone. She spoke, the jury listened and the jury decided to acquit Zimmerman.
Whether Jeantel’s remarks on CNN were true or simply spoken in frustration, Zimmerman does deserve to not be prosecuted again and again in the mainstream press, the DOJ or by race baiters. Give it a rest and instead focus on why hundreds of black youths are being murdered in the President’s city of Chicago with zero outrage. Or are their young black lives not significant enough to race baiters because race baiters cannot make a profit?
Fox News reports:
The FBI has asked authorities in Sanford, Fla. to not give George Zimmerman back his gun after he was cleared of all charges in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, a Department of Justice official tells Fox News.
The report may serve as further confirmation the Justice Department is taking seriously its investigation into whether or not to pursue a federal civil rights case against Zimmerman, after Attorney General Eric Holder said in an address Tuesday to the NAACP that his department would “consider all available information” before deciding whether to move forward.
DOJ officials may be able to consider testimonies or evidence that had not been presented at trial, because they have made an open request to the public for more information on Zimmerman, particularly anything that could indicate that his actions on the night Trayvon Martin died were racially motivated. Reportedly, some supporters of Zimmerman decided to send emails in response to this public request, suggesting that the DOJ drop the investigation, because it had already been shown in court that there apparently was no racial motivation.
As reported by the Daily Mail, David Letterman and Bill Maher weighed in on the case, and the idea of Zimmerman getting his weapon back:
Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher drew boos from audience members on Tuesday during a taping of The Late Show With David Letterman, by saying that ‘the Florida state law is that he can get his gun back. I say that if he gets a gun, Casey Anthony gets a baby.’
Anthony was acquitted in 2011, also in Florida, of killing her two-year-old daughter in 2008.
Shortly after the verdict was read, death threats started hitting Twitter, and Zimmerman’s brother – Robert Zimmerman, Jr. – has contended since the verdict was read that his brother may be free, but will have to watch over his shoulder for the rest of his life.
Warning: Some readers may find the language in this video offensive.
This is a gentleman from Akron, Mississippi, where a riot went on “for Trayvon Martin” after George Zimmerman was acquitted.
I would love to shake this man’s hand! He has hit the nail on the head!
“A black life only has a value when that black life is taken by a person who’s non-black”
Nearly a year and a half after having been nearly beaten to death by Trayvon Martin, George Zimmerman was declared “not guilty” by a jury of his peers in a trial perpetrated by politics, fueled by racist tensions and propelled to the front-page by subservient media .
George Zimmerman never disputed the fact that he shot Mr. Martin. The only determination left to the jury was whether George was acting in self-defense while the larger and stronger Martin was on top of him or if he should have found a different way to deal with the situation.
The jury unanimously ruled that Zimmerman had no way to protect himself other than to use lethal force to answer lethal force.
After the verdict, defense attorney Mark O’Mara said, “George Zimmerman was never guilty of anything except protecting himself in self defense.”
Once the prosecution realized that the murder charge they had pushed for was unattainable with only emotion in their favor, they asked for the lesser charge of manslaughter to be considered.
The jury of six women considered the original charge of second degree murder, the lesser charge of manslaughter and in the face of woeful evidence, found the accused non guilty.
Florida State Attorney General let people know that the system worked and that she believed justice had been done by saying, “we respect the jury’s verdict.”
Racially motivated, NAACP’s president Benjamin Jealous fumed, “We are outraged and heartbroken over today’s verdict” and vowed to pursue “civil rights charges” in the case.
The question remains whether emotions will take over releasing riots in Florida’s streets or whether civility and respect for the jury’s verdict will rule the night.
Broward County Sheriff’s Office releases a Public Service Announcement- “Don’t Riot” Zimmerman Verdict. They really think this cheesy little video will stop the crazies out there!
On Monday, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office released a video calling on the public not to riot in the wake of the George Zimmerman verdict, expected this week or next in Florida. The Sheriff’s Office released a statement explaining that it was “working closely with the Sanford Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies” to coordinate “a response plan in anticipation of the verdict.”

Steven Crowder explains how racist testimony in the George Zimmerman trial really isn’t all that bad….
Remember George Zimmerman, the former block watch leader who is facing second degree murder charges in one of the most racially charged cases in recent time? The murder took on additional controversy when President Obama appeared to sympathize with the black teenager who was killed during an altercation.
Newly released photos of Zimmerman with a bloodied face are now being used by his lawyers as evidence that the prosecution was slow in revealing the true nature of his injuries and corroboration of his account of the events. In addition, today Zimmerman’s attorneys announced he is now suing NBC for damages that portrayed him as a “racist and predatory villain” through editing of the 911 tape.
From ABC News: The suit, filed this afternoon, claims, “NBC saw the death of Trayvon Martin not as a tragedy, but as an opportunity to increase ratings.”
An NBC News spokeswoman did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The suit claims the network pounced on the story in large part to help aid the ailing ratings of its morning program, “The Today Show.” It centers around “manipulated” exchanges between George Zimmerman and a non-emergency dispatcher shortly before unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin was shot and killed. The audio aired a few times on several NBC platforms beginning March 19.
The suit blames NBC in large part for the media frenzy surrounding the case and hostilities against Zimmerman.

George Zimmerman still stands accused of the shooting death of 17 year old Trayvon Martin in Sanford Florida. On Thursday Zimmerman’s lawyer announced via his website that there will be a ‘stand your ground’ hearing, based on the claim that Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin in self defense. Via Fox News and the Associated Press:
A finding in Zimmerman’s favor would end the criminal case against him, as well as immunizing him from civil action.
“Now that the State has released the majority of their discovery, the defense asserts that there is clear support for a strong claim of self-defense. Consistent with this claim of self-defense, there will be a ‘Stand Your Ground’ hearing,” said O’Mara in a statement.
The law allows people to use deadly force, rather than retreat, if they believe their lives are in danger.
O’Mara described the hearing as a “mini-trial,” with arguments, witnesses, experts and evidence that would be included in a criminal trial, but without a jury.
Tensions continue to run high in the city of Sanford and across the nation as many believe the shooting was racially motivated.
Al Sharpton’s National Action Network has been a staunch supporter of the Martin family throughout the ordeal. At the time of this post they could not be reached for comment.
Good news for Neighborhood Watch celebrity, George Zimmerman. The Associated Press reports that in 23 years only 2,000 people have been exonerated after being wrongly convicted of a serious felony.
Each year there are nearly one million felony convictions, over 10,000 times more than the 90 innocent defendants wrongly convicted. The findings are particularly encouraging for Zimmerman as he faces criminal prosecution for second–degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin and simultaneously a trial–by–media for the same offense.
The miscarriage of justice rate compares very favorably with the hospital medical error rate of 18 percent, where presumably the doctor doesn’t have any animus toward the customer, as opposed to prosecutors who do.
And public opinion is starting to come around. A new Rasmussen Reports national survey found 40 percent think Zimmerman acted in self–defense.
This finding is in sharp contrast to a survey of mainstream journalists that found 85 percent believe Zimmerman should already be doing time in Guantanamo.
Then when it appears justice may finally be allowed to take its course, the Washington Post uses a discredited CNN idea to attack George.
You may recall CNN reporter Gary Tuchman examined Zimmerman’s 9–1–1 call and discovered RACISM! Which is to be expected from someone with a white father. Using “one of the most sophisticated audio edit suites in the broadcast news business” CNN heard Zimmerman saying “(bleeping) coons” after technicians “enhanced” the recording.
Naturally to demonstrate even–handed news judgment, the tape was played for viewers about 300 times during the segment. As the reporter intoned, “Listen closely for “coon,” a word only bigots use. Remember it starts with a ‘c’ and ends with ‘oon.’”
Except the word wasn’t “coon.” Two weeks later, with much less fanfare, CNN re–enhances the tape and sure enough Zimmerman was saying “(bleeping) cold.”
How fortunate Zimmerman didn’t have to hide in the weeds to observe Martin. I can only imagine what the media would have done if George had muttered something about being bitten by a (bleeping) chigger.
Which brings us back to the sound–enhancing WaPo and its recording of a witness call, which FBI analysts have already termed “inconclusive.” The WaPo recycles the lie that Zimmerman ignored an order from the dispatcher. And in a nice touch, writes “…cursing under his breath, Zimmerman got out of his truck and began to follow (Martin).” But, thanks to CNN, we know Zimmerman was cursing the weather, a common activity worldwide, and not Martin.
Martin’s father heard the WaPo tape and told police the voice was not his son’s, But that was before lawyers got to him and visions of wrongful death lawsuits began dancing in his head. In contrast, the WaPo’s expert — who wouldn’t have known Trayvon if the kid had approached him at 7/11 and asked for a loan to buy Skittles — imagines Martin yelling, “I’m begging you!” “Help me!” And then, “Stop!”
Since the story was written by two females, I won’t fault them for their lack of expertise when it comes to fight dynamics. But in the real world the person who lands the first punch usually wins. Since witnesses place Martin on top of Zimmerman repeatedly punching him “MMA” style, it’s reasonable to assume his was the first punch.
Someone winning a fight is also not the one calling for help. The puncher is usually concentrating on pounding the punchee. Evidence shows Zimmerman’s back was wet from ground contact and he had a broken nose, two black eyes and cuts on the back of his head, so Trayvon evidently was doing a thorough job.
You can find the recording on the Post website and identifying any one element is like trying to isolate a single razzberry in a Spike Jones recording. One of the edited audio segments purports to be Martin’s “Stop!” But I’ve been in recording studios for 35 years and I hear “Help!” in both recordings, which stands to reason since Zimmerman is losing the fight.
But this is where it gets interesting. The “expert” asserts those 45 seconds aren’t Zimmerman calling for help during the fight, but Martin pleading with Zimmerman not to shoot him AFTER the fighting was over.
So by his reckoning, the fight is concluded. Zimmerman has his gun out. Martin begs for his life for almost a minute and then Zimmerman executes him in cold blood.
But lab results reveal the gunshot was so close it burned Martin’s skin. We know there was a single shot. If the entry wound is low and travels upward, it supports Zimmerman. But even without that information, if the fight was over and Martin was pleading for his life, chances are he would have been backing or running away, putting distance between himself and Zimmerman.
Common sense would dictate waiting for the evidence and using practical experience to evaluate it, but the Post, along with the majority of the media, has already found Zimmerman guilty and they want us to join them.
5/20/12 I’ll be joined by Kyle Becker (Conservative Daily News) and Takia Hollowell (Kiradavis.net) to talk more about race and politics. Does race really matter? Should it matter? Also, the latest in the Trayvon Martin case. Tune in tonight at 10pmET, 7pm Pacific on the CDNews Network on Blogtalk Radio.
