Hacktivist Group Announces Statue Toppling Day

Anonymous, a hacking group, has announced “Denouncement Day” during which they intend to enter into The War on Statues and “take down” civil war monuments.

Anonymous releases a Video Press Release to the media and the public with our response regarding the events in Charlottesville, the adminstration’s response, and our actions since. We also give an update on #OpDomesticTerrorism and introduce Denouncement Day (#DayToDenounce), happening nationwide on August 18th

According to a video from Anonymous, they plan to meet at 11 locations across the South East United States on Friday in order to “give everyone the opportunity to tear down symbols of hate.”

    Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address ends most appropriately with these words: “With malice toward none. with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation’s wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and all nations.”

    42 days later Abraham Lincoln was killed by an agent of hate, John Wilkes Booth, an anarchist not unlike the anarchists of today who would see the destruction of this Country and the ruin of the last best hope for Liberty.
