SC Sen. Lindsey Graham Has A Viable Challenger

REENVILLE, S.C., April 17, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ – Amidst a crowded field of challengers, The State newspaper reported that Richard Cash leads all challengers to incumbent Lindsey Graham in cash on hand. As of March 31, 2014, Cash reported $464,056 on hand, followed by Det Bowers ($384,248), Bill Connor ($314,529), Nancy Mace ($223,000), Lee Bright ($78,557), and Benjamin Dunn ($10,000). Cash also led all challengers in the report at the end of 2013.

In addition to cash on hand, Cash has also demonstrated strong grassroots support. Cash said, “I have the most signs up around the state and as far as I know I am the only candidate to report holding large grassroots type events.” Cash had over 500 in attendance at a BBQ in Anderson in November, 300 at a BBQ in N. Augusta in early February, 140 in Greenwood in late February, and 700-800 on hand in Greenville on March 31.

Although Lindsey Graham has an enormous financial advantage, Cash says that there is a path to victory. “I have been telling people for months,” said Cash, “that if Lindsey Graham is held in the low 40s in the primary vote, he is vulnerable to being defeated in a run-off. The latest poll shows that Graham’s approval rating is only 40%, while his disapproval rating is 44%.” If Graham is held in the low 40s on the first vote, Cash believes that money will come in from around the country to fund a competitive run-off.

Cash plans to continue his grassroots and fundraising efforts and believes he is well positioned among the challengers for the stretch run. According to Cash, “I don’t mind the competition; I’ve run in a large field before. I believe multiple candidates make it more likely that Graham will be forced into a run-off and I won a six way Congressional primary in 2010 before losing a close run-off.” The SC Republican primary is June 10th.

Harry Reid Might Not be Mentally Fit to Continue Serving in U.S. Senate

LAKE PLACID, Fla., April 4, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — Sharron Angle said that Senator Harry Reid’s contradictory statements and peculiar statements raise doubts about Reid’s possible senility and Reid’s mental fitness to continue serving in the Senate.

Sharron Angle made the comments during her radio show on April 3. She is a co-host of the radio show “Conservative Commandos” which broadcasts on WNJC 1360 AM in Philadelphia and is streamed live over the internet.

The audio clip of Sharron Angle’s analysis and comments can be heard at:
www.ConservativeCommandosRadioShow.com

In February, Senator Reid accused Republicans of spreading LIES about ObamaCare horror stories. This week Reid denied ever saying that. Both are on camera, spoken from the well of the Senate. Both audio clips were played on the Conservative Commandos Radio Show, prompting Sharron Angle’s comments and concerns. Noting that Democrat US Senate Majority Leader has made many other odd comments, Sharron Angle wondered if Harry Reid’s mental abilities to continue serving in the U.S. Senate should be explored. Reid’s two dramatically contradictory TV clips back to back suggest the possibility of senility.

Sharron Angle was the U.S. Senate Republican nominee in Nevada against U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in 2010.

Sharron Angle’s Political Action Committee — OurVoicePAC — is working for legislation in Nevada to close down the State’s health care exchange under the Affordable Care Act.

#OpenZilla: A Call for Openness, Respect, and Tolerance Toward Faith-Driven Employees

1396972020RALEIGH, N.C., April 8, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — Faith Driven Consumer™  — the group behind the recent IStandWithPhil.com movement which played a leading role in Phil Robertson’s return to Duck Dynasty and the ongoing Year of The Bible Movie campaign, which is tracking the commercial viability of major Hollywood films courting faith audiences this year, continues to advocate for tolerance and respect for the views held by 46 million Faith Driven Consumers who spend $1.75 trillion annually. Following the firestorm at Mozilla over its recently dismissed CEO, Faith Driven Consumer has launched its #OpenZilla campaign in an effort to encourage a company famous for open source solutions and inclusiveness to extend openness, tolerance, and respect to those who hold a biblically-based view of marriage.

“While the firestorm surrounding Mozilla’s recent actions has focused largely on the company’s former CEO, we remain deeply concerned about faith-driven employees at the company as well as those who may apply to work there. In the short-term, we are concerned about the rights of employees to continue to hold to their personal biblical views on marriage without being discriminated against or bullied. In the long-term, we are troubled by  LGBT advocates who are calling for a ‘glass ceiling’ for faith-driven employees, suggesting that companies may hire such people but should not allow these employees to assume leadership roles if they hold a biblical view of marriage,” said Chris Stone, a Certified Brand Strategist and Founder of Faith Driven Consumer.

“In order to directly raise these concerns, Faith Driven Consumer contacted Mozilla yesterday to ask for clarification regarding corporate diversity policy. We also launched the #OpenZilla campaign to spark a broader dialogue about the need for tolerance, true inclusiveness, and respect for diversity in the workplace. We are asking Mozilla to address our questions, and have asked the Faith Driven Consumer community to engage with the company as well.

“Last week’s troubling events raise serious questions about the commitment by many members of the LGBT community to practice what they preach. As LGBT activists ask us to tolerate and respect their viewpoints on one hand, many are advocating — on the other hand — for intolerance, discrimination, and bullying toward people of faith, people who an essential part of America’s rich rainbow of diversity.”

Faith Driven Consumer’s #OpenZilla campaign asks three specific questions of the company:

  1. Will faith-driven employees be discriminated against and forced into the closet for their personal views on marriage?
  2. Is there a “pro-gay marriage” litmus test for working at Mozilla?
  3. Will the next CEO be required to openly express support for gay marriage as a condition for being hired?

If Voter Fraud Is A Myth, Why Does It Keep Occurring?

voter fraud
U.S. News & World Report, on April 24, 2012, published an article entitled “The ‘Myth’ of Voter Fraud.” The article references Tova Wang, who says instances of polling place fraud are extremely rare. The article says that Wang is a fellow at progressive think tanks ‘Demos’ and the ‘Century Foundation’.

In response to the question, “What about widely publicized stories of registration fraud?”, Ms Wang responded:

… there’s absolutely zero evidence that anyone who has put any false information on a voter registration form has actually voted using that information.   [emphasis mine]

Really? Ms Wang said that almost two years ago, so an update is in order. Perhaps she will find this article by Brian Preston to be interesting. In it, Preston says:

The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls.

765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.

35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.

155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.

And the voter fraud facts just keeps coming. The crosscheck found that more than 13,000 deceased voters remain on North Carolina’s rolls, and that 81 of them showed voter activity in their records after death.

Preston didn’t just make these numbers up. They come from a report published by “Interstate Crosscheck”, a Kansas company that checks 101 million voter records in 28 states. CA, FL, NY, and TX do not have their voting records checked. NC State Board of Elections Executive Director Kim Westbrook Strach delivered the report findings.

A NC congressman (Rep. Tim Moore, R-Cleveland) said, “This is proof positive that voter fraud has in fact occurred. For years, all of us have known anecdotally of different types of voter fraud.”

Voting rights advocate Bob Phillips with Common Cause NC, tried to minimize the study findings by saying: “I think a lot of [lawmakers] are saying, ‘Aha, this proves what we did.’ [voting multiple times] But if I have an ID, how is that going to stop me from voting in North Carolina if I’ve already voted in Florida?” Phillips said it still doesn’t justify House Bill 589, the 2013 law that included voter ID.

When words are carefully parsed, like Bill Clinton did, Wang is correct. She said “… put any false information on a voter registration form …” Numerous time voters did not put false information on registration forms. But they committed voter fraud none the less. They were too stupid to cover their tracks, to offer false information. So the question becomes, “How many voters DID offer false information?” The voter fraud issue doesn’t simply go away if Wang is correct. The voter fraud problem may be larger than evidence suggests. Just because none have been successfully prosecuted doesn’t mean voter fraud doesn’t exist.

The remainder of the U.S. News & World Report article illustrates just how “out of touch” Wang is with reality. It’s not long, so read it if you want a good laugh.

But that’s just my opinion.

U.S. Plans To Give Stolen Jewish Property Back to Iraq

PHOENIX, March 18, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — Unless immediate action is taken, the U.S. State Department will return invaluable Jewish artifacts to the government of Iraq instead of their rightful owners. Jewish Voice Ministries International is mobilizing the Christian community with a petition drive of one million signatures to prevent the dispersed Iraqi Jewish community from losing their history and personal possessions to the government that persecuted them.
President and CEO Jonathan Bernis articulates the injustice, “We didn’t return the belongings of the Jewish people who suffered in the Holocaust to the German government. Why would we stand by and allow this terrible injustice to take place?”
Background: The Jewish community in Iraq existed for 2,600 year before 1930’s Nazi propaganda ushered in persecution including seizure of property, pogroms, and public hangings. Many Jews fled the country, leaving behind personal possessions. After the 2003 ouster of Saddam Hussein, U.S. troops discovered thousands of Jewish artifacts in the flooded basement of Iraq’s intelligence headquarters. Invaluable artifacts included a 16th-century Hebrew Bible, a 1902 hand-lettered Haggadah guidebook, and Torah fragments, stolen by Hussein’s secret police from Jewish synagogues and schools. The U.S. signed an agreement with Iraq’s provisional government, allowing them to salvage the archive and spend two million dollars to restore it. The State Department agreed to return the fully restored archive to the Iraqi government in the summer of 2014, although five Jewish people reside in Iraq, and despite the fact that Iraq refuses to recognize Israel’s statehood.
Action is critical – Jewish Voice Ministries urges the U.S. Christian community to stand against further injustice for this persecuted Jewish community. The digital petition to Secretary of State John Kerry can be signed at www.rescuejewishproperty.org, for delivery to the State Department on May 30, 2014.

Air Force Academy Called Out for Violating Constitutional Rights

WASHINGTON, March 14, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — The Restore Military Religious Freedom Coalition comprised of 24 groups led by the Family Research Council and including legal groups such as Alliance Defending Freedom, Liberty Counsel, The Liberty Institute, and Thomas More Law Center, has announced that they stand ready to offer assistance to any Air Force Academy cadet who faces repercussions for writing a Bible verse on a hallway whiteboard that has been designated by the Academy for both official and personal use.

Earlier this week, a Bible verse (Galatians 2:20) was removed at the Air Force Academy after a complaint by an anti-Christian group. Yesterday, reports surfaced that cadets are protesting the censorship by writing Bible verses on other campus whiteboards. Last year, the Restore Military Religious Freedom Coalition launched a website, www.militaryfreedom.org, to support the religious liberties of America’s men and women in uniform.

Several members of the Restore Military Religious Freedom Coalition released the following statements in support of the cadets and religious liberty:

Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, Family Research Council’s Executive Vice President:

“This reflects that the cadets understand the Constitution and have a greater faith in the Constitution than their leaders. They are freely exercising their constitutional rights that they will be defending upon graduation,” concluded Boykin.

Michael Berry, Liberty Institute’s Senior Counsel and Director of Military Affairs:

“This is a blatant violation of Department of Defense Instruction (DODI) 1300.17 and the Constitution, “Berry observed. “But the Air Force seems to think that AFI 1-1’s neutrality towards religion requirement means forbidding religious freedom. If that’s true, then I suggest the Air Force officials read DODI 1300.17, which supersedes AFI 1-1 and guarantees religious freedom for all service members,” concluded Berry.

Gary McCaleb, Chief Solicitor and Executive Vice President for Strategy Implementation at Alliance Defending Freedom:

“Suppressing religion is wrong whether it is done behind an Iron Curtain or in a dorm hallway. Certainly such raw anti-religious discrimination has no place in America’s Air Force.”

Mathew Staver, Chairman, Liberty Counsel:

“This latest incident at the United States Air Force Academy reveals a fundamental misunderstanding of religious freedom. Not only is the notion that cadets have to abandon or hide their faith as a requisite of military service not supported by law, it is actually discriminatory to brave men and women of faith that desire to serve their country,” concluded Staver.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel,Thomas More Law Center:

“From the Revolutionary War to the present day, military leaders have understood that in times of danger and death, no physical courage can sustain the soldier other than Divine help. This understanding prompted Article 6 of the military Code of Conduct, which emphasizes a soldier’s personal responsibilities for his actions and trust in God. Thus, the actions of the Air Force to restrict this cadet’s free speech and the free exercise of religion because it offends some, is not only unconstitutional, but conflicts with the military’s own understanding of the importance of religion to our military men and women placed in harm’s way,” concluded Thompson.

Americans Think Hurricane Katrina Worse Crisis Than Syria

Americans think Hurricane Katrina, Indian Ocean Tsunami and Haiti earthquake affected more people than the conflict in Syria
More than one-fifth of Americans are not at all familiar with the Syria conflict
Of those familiar with the conflict, three-fourths think U.S. should help people affected in some way

SEATTLE, March 12, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — Almost three years into the conflict in Syria, many Americans do not know the full scale of the crisis, according to a new poll conducted online by Harris Poll on behalf of World Vision among more than 2,000 U.S. adults. The poll found that when presented with a list of prominent humanitarian crises, more Americans select Hurricane Katrina (16%) as having affected the greatest number of people than select the conflict in Syria (10%). So far the conflict in Syria has impacted an estimated 9.3 million people — more than Hurricane Katrina, the earthquake in Haiti and the Indian Ocean Tsunami and nearly as many as the three crises combined.

The study also found one in five Americans (21%) admit to being not at all familiar with the conflict. Those who are familiar are overwhelmingly likely to say the United States should do something to help, either through increased humanitarian aid, increased diplomatic pressure or other measures (76%, vs. 24% who say the U.S. should not help in any way).

As the three-year anniversary of the conflict in Syria approaches this weekend, more than 100,000 people have died and an estimated 9 million people have been forced from their homes — either within Syria or in neighboring countries such as Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.

A total of 9.3 million Syrians are currently in need of humanitarian aid, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. More than half of those impacted are children.

“Each day, millions of children are caught in the middle of the Syrian crisis, struggling for the basics of survival like food, somewhere to live and a safe place to call home. They face the threat of bombs, gunfire, early marriage, and being forced to work to provide for their families,” said Conny Lenneberg, World Vision’s Regional Leader for Middle East and Eastern Europe. “Yet many of us turn away, sometimes purposely turning a blind eye to all that is happening. Although it’s painful to see the reality, it’s vital that we do so. An entire generation is depending on us.”

Other findings from the poll include:

  • Of those familiar with the conflict, nearly half (47%) think the U.S. should increase humanitarian aid.
  • Of those familiar with the conflict, there are no significant differences between those with different education levels or household incomes who agree the U.S. should help those affected by the conflict.
  • Adults age 18-34 are significantly less likely to be familiar with the conflict than those age 35 or older (29% saying they are ‘not at all familiar’ vs. 18% of those age 35+ who said the same).
  • When it comes to why money may be hard to raise for humanitarian aid in response to the conflict in Syria, more than half of Americans (53%) think it’s because money should go towards addressing problems in the U.S.

The poll comes as World Vision is releasing a new report completely written and researched by refugee children of the Syrian crisis, titled “Our Uncertain Future.” In the report, children found that 86 percent of their peers have been exposed to violence. Several questioned why the world is not paying attention:

“If I had the opportunity to address people in power around the world, I would say: ‘Haven’t you had enough of the destruction in Syria? Haven’t you seen enough blood in Syria? Haven’t you seen enough deaths in Syria? What else do you still need, to save us and bring us back to our country? If I had a magic wand, I would erase all the destruction that happened in Syria or in any other country and draw instead the best and most beautiful thing for everyone,” said Hanadi, 17, a Syrian refugee.

World Vision has been responding to the crisis by helping people in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, supporting more than 300,000 with water, sanitation services, household supplies and healthcare, with a focus on the protection and well-being of children.

Catholic Theologian Says Pope Francis May Be the False Prophet of Revelation

Catholic theologian, Dr. Kelly Bowring, discusses how Pope Francis is fulfilling the famous St. Malachy prophecy of the final Pope and how certain prophecy indicates he may be the False Prophet.

ATLANTA, March 13, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — Pope Francis celebrates the first year anniversary (March 13) of his papal election this week. Looking back over his first year over the 1.2 Billion Catholics, some of Pope Francis’ actions and statements have raised serious concerns in the hearts of many faithful Catholics. Catholic theologian, Dr. Kelly Bowring, recently wrote a blog article asking his readers to look at the disconcerting actions and statements of Pope Francis and the “Francis effect” in the light of twelve Catholic prophecies about the False Prophet, who is mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Bowring’s article appeared on the front page of the website of his book publisher, Two Hearts Press www.TwoHeartsPress.com.

Dr. Bowring has spent years studying the end times and is the author of several books on biblical and Catholic prophecy, including his bestseller, “The Secrets, Chastisement, and Triumph,” and his newly released, “The Signs of the Times,” both with Two Hearts Press.

In his blog article, Bowring also describes what to expect from the False Prophet according to the prophecies. He then provides seven suggestions on how Catholics should respond to the possibility and growing concern that Pope Francis might be the False Prophet.

Bowring concludes that the Catholic Church may be on the verge of a schism caused by papal apostasy, where there will be two camps, possibly divided into Francis Catholics and Benedict Catholics. Even in Francis’ first year as Pope, various possible changes to doctrine have been discussed around the Vatican:

  • change to grant Communion to Catholic couples who are divorced and civilly remarried
  • change to grant Communion to non-Catholics
  • change to grant Church blessings to gay unions

If the current Pope were to support changing any Church doctrine, as exemplified by these three possibilities, that would be a clear “sign” he is the False Prophet, according to Bowring. Where will all this lead no one knows. Moving forward, Dr. Bowring recommends that Catholics remain obedient to Pope Francis, while becoming more vigilant to new issues that may arise from his actions and statements. Whether Francis is the False Prophet, time will tell.

U.S. Supreme Court Denies Rehearing On German Homeschooling Case

PURCELLVILLE, Va., March 3, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — On the morning of March 3, 2014, the United States Supreme Court denied review in the appeal of Uwe and Hannelore Romeike after years of fighting for asylum in the American court system. The Romeikes are a German homeschool family who fled to the United States in 2008 to avoid losing custody of their children to the German government. According to Germany’s highest court, the German ban on homeschooling is designed to insure that religious homeschoolers do not become a “parallel society.”
Michael Farris, Chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association and lead counsel for the Romeikes in the appellate courts, said, “While this is the end of the line for normal legal appeals, we are not giving up.”
The initial immigration judge hearing the case granted the Romeikes’ request for asylum in 2010 on religious freedom grounds.
The Obama Administration appealed that decision and prevailed on two levels of appeals.
Prior to today’s denial, the Supreme Court had ordered the United States Solicitor General to respond to the Romeike’s petition. The case had also been carried forward for one week on the Court’s conference schedule—normally a sign of some interest in the case by the Court.
Describing HSLDA’s plans for the Romeikes, Farris said, “We will pursue changes to the asylum law in this country to insure that religious freedom is once again vigorously protected in our policy. I am just glad that the Pilgrims did not face this anti-religious policy when they landed at Plymouth Rock.
“After all, the Pilgrims left England to find religious freedom, but they left Holland to find a place that was both safe for their children and which provided religious freedom,” Farris noted. “These are the very values which our nation today has decided to abandon.”

Texas is the latest victim of a judicial free-for-all

Texas Ruling Striking Marriage Amendment is Attack on Rule of Law

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Today, Federal Judge Orlando Garcia, a President Clinton appointee, struck down the Texas constitutional marriage amendment which had been approved by 76 percent of the state’s voters.

Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins released the following statement:

“The state of Texas is the latest victim of a judicial free-for-all in making a lawless mockery of the ideals that our Founding Fathers stood for.

“A court-imposed redefinition of marriage strips away the fundamental right to self-governance. This is not just an attack on marriage, but an attack on the rule of law. It is not the role of judges to redefine our most fundamental societal institution which has such far-reaching implications for society at every level.

“While these activist judges appear to be rolling out a rainbow colored aisle runner leading the way for a nation-wide redefinition of marriage, the U.S. Supreme Court will ultimately have to decide on the redefinition of marriage. Hopefully, the Court will refrain from repeating the disaster of Roe v. Wade by imposing a radical minority view on the nation. Instead, we would expect the Supreme Court to restore order by returning to the people and their elected representatives the right to decide the future of marriage,” concluded Perkins.

FBI Report Once Again Confirms What We Already Knew About Guns

BELLEVUE, Wash., Feb. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The FBI’s semi-annual uniform crime data for the first half of 2013 confirms once again what the firearms community already knew, that violent crime has continued to decline while gun sales have continued to climb, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

The report, issued last week, says murders declined 6.9 percent from the first half of 2012, while aggravated assaults dropped by 6.6 percent nationwide and robberies were down 1.8 percent. Forcible rapes declined 10.6 percent from the same period in 2012 and overall, violent crime fell by 10.6 percent in non-metropolitan counties and 3.6 percent in metropolitan counties.

“This new information reinforces the notion that not only do guns save lives, their presence in the hands and homes of law-abiding citizens just might be a deterrent to crime,” observed CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “The National Shooting Sports Foundation has been reporting a steady increase in firearm sales for the past few years. Taken as a whole, one cannot help but conclude that the predictions from gun prohibitionists that more guns leads to more crime have been consistently wrong.”

Gottlieb said the tired argument from the anti-gun lobby that more firearms in the hands of private citizens would result in sharp increases in violence have run out of traction. Not only has the decline in crime corresponded with an increase in gun sales, it also coincides with a steady rise in the number of citizens obtaining concealed carry licenses and permits, he noted.

“The FBI report says burglaries and auto theft have also decreased,” Gottlieb said, “and it is impossible to look at this pattern and not suggest that increased gun ownership just might be one contributing factor. Gun prohibitionists would, of course, dismiss that suggestion as poppycock, but you can bet your life savings that if the data was reversed, and violent crime had risen, the gun control lobby would be rushing to every available microphone declaring that guns were to blame.

“This continuing pattern brings up a pertinent question,” he concluded. “If the gun ban lobby has been so wrong about more guns resulting in more crime, what else have they been wrong about? The word ‘everything’ comes to mind.”

With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms  is one of the nation’s premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.

Obamacare Requires 68-Year-Old Grandma To Have Pregnancy Test Before Biopsy

grandmaThe hypocrisy is infuriating!

Shared on Facebook, via One Silenced, Millions Awakened:

Gramma gets a PREGNANCY TEST
One of our readers told of an experience she had and we thought it was worth sharing:

“I just saw a video about some Democrats in Minnesota laughing over Obamacare. Let me share a bit about what happened to me at my doc’s office yesterday.

Before I had the biopsy the nurse said they had to do a pregnancy test. Now keep in mind, I am a granny. Now I know some of you Bible readers are going to bring up Sarah being in her old age when she conceived but she had Abraham. I have no man. To my knowledge the only birth we know of that didn’t involve a man only happened one time in history. I reminded the nurse about that and she had the good grace to smile and kind of laugh. She said I know this sounds funny but we have to do this.

I said, you know you gave me this pregnancy test the last time I was in here, just weeks ago Why wasn’t that enough. She said they are obligated to do it. I said does this have to do with the insurance and she said yes. The Government regulations demand they do this so as to make sure when they do the biopsy they will not be removing any “life”. She said they have to have records showing they tested. MY Word !!!!!

I was gob-smacked…..not remove life????? I didn’t say anymore to her but my thought was this is garbage. Why is the Government so concerned that a woman beyond child bearing years might have conceived yet this same government pays to deliberately murder babies in the womb by the thousands?

I smell a fear of law suits. That’s another reason why our medical bills are so high. As I told y’all the other day I had to go round and round trying to sort out bills I already paid on other procedures I just had. Maddening!!!

Obamacare is a nightmare that’s just getting started.”

Olympic Propaganda to the Masses

1392616913MADISON, Wisc., Feb. 17, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ — The Olympics is one of the greatest events in the world. They are being used to promote liberal causes worldwide.

Every four years, athletes from all over the world gather to showcase their talents. However, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) uses the Olympics to promote their liberal causes.

Fortunately, most of the athletes go to the Olympics to give their best athletically and stay clear of false politics. They simply do not have time to get sidetracked.

The Olympics were started in ancient Greece. They were athletic events surrounded by ritual sacrifices honoring Zeus and Pelops. Around 393 AD, as Greece was overtaken by the Romans, emperor Theodosius 1 decreed that all pagan cults and practices should be stopped. The ancient Olympics came to an end.

Pierre de Coubertin started the IOC in 1894. The first modern Olympics opened in Athens, Greece in 1896. Many of the pagan practices were eliminated, with some practices remaining.

In 2009, the IOC was granted observer status by the United Nations. This decision was based on the IOC’s contribution to the UN’s Millennium Development Goals.

As a result, the IOC is trying to sway athletes to promote their liberal causes, including homosexuality and climate change endeavors.

In October 2013, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) adopted pro-homosexual policies. U.S. athletes must now take a vow that they will not engage in “discrimination” based on “sexual orientation.”

4 WINDS President Steve McConkey fought this to no avail. “The USOC policies are set-up for discrimination against gay athletes, but there could be reverse discrimination in the future. It is a matter of time when Christians that believe homosexuality is a sin will go against the law of the land,” says McConkey. “The Olympic movement shadows what is happening in the real world.”

4 WINDS is a world-class track and field ministry. Steve and his wife started working in world-class track and field ministries in 1981. They have lived in Eugene, Fort Worth, Minneapolis, and now Madison, Wisconsin. Steve has a Masters of Public Health from Western Kentucky University and a BS-Public Health from Minnesota State University in Mankato. He became a Christian in 1976.

In 2003, McConkey fought the IOC for allowing transgenders in the Olympics to no avail. During the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, McConkey spearheaded the distribution of athlete testimonies into the underground church in China, estimated to be over 110 million people.

Two of the four Olympic athletes who had their testimonies distributed were supposed to win medals. All four won medals, accumulating three golds, two silvers. Before and after the Olympics, their testimonies went all over the world. Millions were reached.

Last week, a group of 105 athletes at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi distributed a letter requesting world leaders to take action on climate change and to prepare a commitment to a global agreement prior to the Paris climate talks in 2015.

These athletes are using their positions to promote global warming causes that have not been proven.

Steve McConkey believes Christian athletes should concentrate on their Olympic events and share their testimonies after their event is concluded. “Athletes have a tremendous opportunity to tell the world about their Christian faith. Be like the apostle Paul who went into Athens to share the gospel in a pagan world,” says McConkey. “You are in the Olympics to give a 100% athletic performance, so do this before you engage the media.”
