Crazy Nancy: Pelosi Calls For More Security To Defend Against Republicans Who ‘Want To Bring Guns On The Floor’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for additional security Thursday to defend against members of Congress seeking “to bring guns onto the floor.”

Pelosi said during a press conference that she was in talks to increase security measures because the threat to safety was coming from within the House of Representatives.

“I do believe and I have said this all along that we will probably need a supplemental for more security for members when the enemy is within the House of Representatives, a threat that members are concerned about in addition to what is happening outside,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi clarified later in the press conference what she meant by the enemy within.

“It means that we have members of Congress that want to bring guns on the floor and have threatened violence on other members of Congress,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi said was meeting with Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré to discuss a plan for keeping House members safe. Pelosi referred to a letter over 30 House members sent to her and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy requesting additional security funds.

“This is very, very important. It shouldn’t be, it shouldn’t be that, not only is the president of the United States inciting an insurrection, but keeps fanning the flame, endangering the security of members of Congress to the point that they’re even concerned about members in the House of Representatives being a danger to them,” Pelosi said.

Several Republicans in the House have discussed bringing firearms to the floor.

Republican Maryland Rep. Andy Harris was discovered with a firearm as he attempted to reach the House Chamber through a metal detector, HuffPost reported last week. Harris was prohibited from entering and the officer with the metal detector indicated the matter to a security guard.

Washington, D.C., Police Chief Robert Contee III said on Jan. 4 that he would talk to Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert regarding her goal to carry a handgun in D.C., according to Politico. Contee said in a press conference he wished to make sure Boebert knew the district’s laws.

Republican North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn said he was armed when the Capitol was evacuated during the Jan. 6 riot, according to an interview with Smoky Mountain News. It was completely clear whether Cawthorn brought a gun to the House floor, The Hill reported.

  1. Seriously, are you really that scared or do you, Pelosi and the gang, just have to constantly CREATE FEAR???

  2. “This is very, very important. Not sure when she spoke these words, but if it was recently then she seems to have forgotten who’s president. First, President Trump never incited anything. Second, he’s not fanning any flames to endanger anyone. Third, President Trump is not president anymore. Is she feeling guilty for creating all this hate for one man and is now having panic attacks because of it? She is insane, and should be treated as an insane person. Put her in a strait jacket and put her in a rubber room.

  3. Does anyone think that Nancy Pelosi has ever considered that her radical approach of being the Dominatrix Queen of the House may be part of the problem that half the nation is really not happy with what’s happening in Congress? In my opinion, and I don’t think she’s outlawed that yet, any SOTH that presents an Impeachment package to the Senate, and the Senate trial Does NOT convict, the SOTH should be forced to step down as the SOTH. This will be her second Impeachment package that appears as though it too will fail. She’s on a witch hunt, and there’s nobody home upstairs. The Constitution quite simply says Impeachment is the way an individual is removed from office. If they are not in office then the issue is moot. It cannot be used to keep a person out of office in the far future. there’s no provision for that except with a conviction. Not in office, not trail, no conviction, no prevention. Simple as that. The person is a normal citizen and subject to the courts of the USA, not Congress. In my opinion again, if I am allowed to say it, and with all due respect, but I think she’s had way too many Jolly Rogers and is way off course with her sinking ship even with the unbelievable upset of the century, that defied all odds and mathematical explanation, a Democratic win. I voted for the Green party this year so all you Democratic haters go find someone else to attack.

  4. She is 80 and not the person she once was. Heck, I am 73 and I’m not the sharpest person on the block any more either. She should have retired a decade ago but she cannot let of the power trip and wants to die while in office, more than likely lay in the Rotunda like a President does upon their death. Half the nation hates her, and the other half doesn’t know her. Her values are all over the place and she is an alcoholic, bad tempered, and full of rage. She commands everyone to respect her and keeps many members of the House and Senate in the palm of her hand. I just cannot figure out how Schumer can see where he’s going when he has his head that far up her tutu.

  5. Pelosi is supposed to support the wild, wild west. She and crazy GOPer(s) should settle the matter with guns on the Bladensburg dueling grounds.
