The Radical Left’s Big Tech Shift Should Scare Everyone
Last week, President Joe Biden and Press Secretary Jen Psaki fired the first shots of the radical left’s latest fight. Rather than focusing on Donald Trump or Republicans, they launched their attacks on Big Tech. Biden said that big tech companies were killing people by allowing “vaccine disinformation” to remain on their sites. Jen Psaki said that Americans were willing to give up some freedom to save the lives of others.
Since that time, multiple shots have been fired by both sides. Facebook said that the White House was looking for a scapegoat for failing to reach its vaccination goal. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said Sunday that Facebook simply needed to “take this crap off” in reference to things that Democrats do not like on social media. She took it one step further and threatened big tech companies with antitrust violations if they choose not to comply.
The Surgeon General also joined in on the action. He said that social media outlets need to take responsibility for what is on their platforms and the disinformation that is being shown to people. The Biden regime and its key players are openly calling for government regulation of social media. They are sending a clear message of compliance to tech firms.
What the Democrats are telling big tech companies is to either do what they say or risk losing their business. That is, after all, the communist way.
Big tech certainly served a purpose for the Democrats leading up to and after the 2020 election. Social media outlets removed countless conservative posts, conservative users, and ran many of their users to other platforms. They even removed and blocked the sitting President of the United States following the events in January. The Democrats praised them for their action to “keep America safe.”
Now, Democrats are ready to split those companies up and force them to comply with their will. That will being to prevent sharing of information freely online. I have said it many times before, if you research the vaccines and want to take it, then do so. If you choose not to take it, that is your right and you have the freedom to refuse to take it. I think this is especially important given the recent reports that Pfizer has data that its vaccine loses effectiveness and cannot respond to new variants.
Freedom and personal rights are not important to Democrats. They want to force businesses to comply with their demands or face losing their business. Even Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has suggested placing conservatives on a registry in order to just function in society. These are not the actions of people that love freedom and seek to preserve it long-term.
These radical left-wing propagandists quickly moved from praise to punishment and it all has to do with control. It’s not about freedom or misinformation at all. This is about the radical left being able to control private businesses and force them to do what they wish. That’s a major problem that should scare everyone.
That’s something we would expect to see in communist China. We would expect to hear this type of thing out of North Korea, Cuba, or even perhaps Russia. But not the United States of America. Not in the freedom-loving USA.
What’s even scarier is that some of these big tech firms have chosen not to fight back. Twitter, which has always been a radical left propaganda pusher, said it would work hard to eliminate COVID disinformation as requested by the Biden regime. They are not afraid to tell you the side that they are on. It’s no wonder that conservatives continue to look at alternatives to Twitter.
Facebook owns the other two big social media outlets of Facebook and Instagram. While I certainly do not believe that Facebook has “seen the light” in regards to what the Democrats are doing, I do believe they see the risk to their business. After all, business exists to earn money. The company obviously sees the threat that this could be if they were forced into government obedience by the radical left.
But that’s just what the radical left is working to do. They are working to eliminate free enterprise. It’s their continued assault on private business in favor of government control. But not all private businesses, just those who wish to refuse to comply with the radical left agenda. It is divisive rhetoric that continues to lead to a split society.
Democrats continue to push the issue between what’s acceptable in mainstream society and what is not. That’s a major problem. They continue to push a society where it seems we will have conservative businesses and liberal ones. At what point does the divide become so much that it is a tipping point? I do not think we are too far away from that point right now.
As the radical left continues to push the divide, there comes a point where there is little hope of recovery. I am reminded of a time when this happened before. It was in the late 1700s when several leaders decided that they had enough and they wrote these words:
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another …
These founding fathers as we like to call them recognized that there were rights among men, endowed by their Creator. They recognized that the government was not there to control the lives of the people, but that government should exist to do the will of the people. Unfortunately, the radical left has forgotten those basic American truths. Now, the radical left wants to label these founding fathers as having spread “misinformation” to accomplish their goal of founding our nation.
Not that it has not already, but that should be a wake-up call to anyone that calls themselves an American. The radical left continues to push a departure from basic American values, which is pushing us to the brink of another major decision in the course of our nation. Apart from a major alteration in course, I do not see any way out of this one.
