It’s Time For Trump to do the Right Thing

I need to stipulate that I am a supporter of President Donald Trump. I guess that makes me one of Biden’s enemies. I am a proud MAGA Republican. If historians are honest, they will give him his just due and describe how effective Trump was as a one-term President. Despite unprecedented investigations by the Democrats, multiple impeachment hearings, a Pandemic, and a hostile media that did the bidding of the Democrats, he had a successful Presidency on many levels. Economic gains and the rebirth of respect on the Global Stage are but two of the highlights. He kept our adversaries at bay while being one of the first Presidents since WWII that did not engage America in new hostilities. He exposed the swamp that is Washington, D.C., and this is why he is public enemy number one for the likes of Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and the rest of the political establishments. He was the outsider that politicians feared, and he needed to be destroyed. Two years out of office and Trump’s MAGA followers are the greatest fear of Joe Biden.

With all of the good accomplished by Donald trump, I say today, as I have in the past, that I wish he would reconsider his quest to return to the White House. His campaign will further divide the country, and the negativity and investigations will engulf the country. This is not a generational statement, but it is time for Donald, Joe, Hillary, Pelosi, and Schumer to step aside and let a new generation step into the batter’s box and take a swing at directing the future of America.

The disparity in the depth of talent between the two parties could not be more obvious. The Left has Hakeem Jeffries at the top, and then there is a massive drop to the second tier. When you point to Kamala Harris and Alexandria Cortez as legitimate candidates for the Democrat nominee, you are not playing in the major leagues. And this is if you can convince Biden not to run for reelection. He is hell-bent on running, and only the document scandal or the Hunter Biden story exploding may persuade him otherwise. There is no way the American public will elect a man hiding at his beachfront property again. Fool me once, but never again.

The Republican bench is deep, and many have made it clear they want to sit in the Oval Office. Some have announced, like Trump and Nikki Haley, while others are hitting the talk show circuit testing the water. DeSantis is the early favorite but has not declared. Mike Pompeo, Mike Pence, Glenn Abbott, Glenn Youngkin, and Chris Sununu are hinting strongly. All are strong Conservatives, though Sununu may be more of a Centrist.

Trump made two appearances this weekend in New Hampshire and South Carolina. Reports are he may be lacking his old passion, but he made one statement that rubbed me wrong. He proclaimed that DeSantis would never be Governor without Trump’s support. He believes that De Santis, Haley, Pence, and Pompeo disrespect him by considering a run. He is out of line. Trump has no claim to the Presidency, and these others are worthy candidates. This is precisely the division the Party and country do not need. I do not see Trump playing fairly with the field, so I think it best for Trump to abandon his thoughts of running. This move would be in the best interest of Trump, Republicans, and America.

  1. Why don’t you just come out and say it Ray, you’re a never Trumper! The way Trump has been treated, he deserves not only 4 more years but 8 !!! what a moron !

  2. Trump cannot possibly divide a nation even further than it is today.

What is at the core of the division in America is not so much political as it is ethical and moral. It caused by the tug of war of immorality, contrived racism, perversion, population control, and freedom. These are just a few examples.

Ray, if you sincerely believe that a politician is dividing our nation then you haven’t taken the time to investigate the roots of division in our nation and around the world. Just maybe, you may be aligned with the mindset of Davos and the WEF. Their NWO agenda is present and clear. This division has been planned and orchestrated at a grass roots level.

Trump was not and is not dividing our nation. It was already divided. He worked hard to reverse the processes put in place by totalitarian ideals.

Destruction of the core family, creating gender identity confusion, judicial persecution of the church, inflation and recession creation through unnecessary spending, grassroots attack of the constitution’s Bill of Rights, contrived racism that allows BLM and others profit off of the backs of minorities, abandoning local law enforcement and pushing a narrative of lawlessness.

Trump didn’t do this. This is a terrible op-ed born out of a lack analysis and awareness of the times. Narrow minded thinking grants narrow minded op-eds.

  3. Amen. De Santis should be the replacement. He continues to fight and win against COVID tyranny, school and college indoctrination, and against giant “woke” international corporations like Disney. He is the only Governor with the cojones to fire a Soros backed prosecutor for failure to fulfill his constitutional duties to uphold the law. Unlike Trump, he has no blind spots in his supporting cast. Imagine the damage Trump could have done to the “Deep State” if he had hired strong Attorney Generals instead of Sessions and Barr. Trump even supports the RINO’s McConnell and Graham and the horribly ineffective chairwoman of the RNC, Ronna McDowel. Tump excoriates anyone who doesn’t stroke his ego and even belittled fellow Republicans before the mid-terms. In contrast, De Santis has hired an outstanding Attorney General and has one of the best state Surgeon General’s in the country; who fought against the CDC mask mandates and helped expose the COVID lies. Also, unlike Trump, he speaks forcibly but clearly and articulately without wandering off track and the unnecessary and childish name calling. And don’t call me an anti Trumper because I voted for him twice, but simply know that he is too divisive to ever win again. On the other hand, De Santis got the most decisive Republican victory in the mid-terms in the country and changed one of the most “diverse” states from a purple state to a solid red state by 20 points. De Santis has both a military and legal background so he has the expertise to fight and not get fooled in either arena. He has proved he can win independents and even Democrats and Trump never will and he has done so without compromise. Clearly, De Santis is the future of the Republican Party.

  4. I agree 100%. I voted for Trump twice. I pray I don’t have to again. He won’t win. 100% of the democrats hate him, 50% of the Repubs hate him but vote for him, 75% of the Independents can’t stand him. It’s REALITY! He will not win!!!!! We need somebody less abrasive!

  5. Obama divided the nation long before Trump came along. Biden and the Dems continue to do it today. They have nothing to offer except hate, incompetence, and corruption. I would vote for Trump before I would vote for a Republican establishment candidate, a RINO, or a leftist Dem. Obtw Mike R., I would like to see the data that supports the figures you quoted. You must have gotten them from the MS media or you pulled them out of the air.
