WOKE is the New Pandemic

The new Pandemic will not feature Dr. Anthony Fauci and his daily noon updates on lockdowns and mandates. The new Pandemic will not require masks, but a barf bag may be suggested. There will be no social distancing because you will need to get close enough to read the pronoun pin. There will be no him, her, mother, or father. There will simply be the person. Maybe this lack of identity is what the Left refers to as equity.

One of the least talked about phenomena is that the balance of power has changed in America and worldwide. One of the foundations of living democracies is that the majority decides decisions and sets norms. That basis has worked for centuries but has turned upside down. The vocal minority now wields disproportionate power. The masses have given power to these few. That power is used as a weapon to advance their agenda and cancel anyone who dares not align with their thinking.

The WOKE has taken over the entertainment industry, where they can influence many. Even venues like Disney, which have always been safe havens for children, have succumbed. They have decided it is more important to identify with gays and transgender than with kids and families. Even with falling stock values and cancellations, they are holding the line.

The decisions made to satisfy the minority will be extremely difficult to reverse. Intentions of the WOKE are forcing legislation that common sense would have never needed in the past. An example is the Parental Rights in Education Bill signed by Governor DeSantis in Florida. It was unthinkable to introduce children in early grades to sexual content of any type in the past. Now the WOKE wants to introduce children to the options of changing gender or experiencing alternative sexual options. Parents are livid, and some states, like Florida, are taking steps to protect them.

Conservatives fear this is not a fad that we have to weather. The reality is that this is another byproduct of indoctrination through the education system. Like CRT and questioning American history and values, this sexual evolution has been in the works for years. What we are seeing now is the harvest of years of work. If the education system had been as concerned with teaching standards as they were with progressing the WOKE ideology, we would not be seeing the falling test scores of today.

What will it take to offset this WOKE movement? Getting more conservative leaders like DeSantis into positions where they can enact laws to break the chain of CRT and alternative sexual life choices is the answer. DeSantis probably has his eyes on a Presidential run, but that is fine. Florida only allows two terms for its Governor. DeSantis has shown the fortitude to make the right decisions despite intense criticism. He feeds on that criticism and uses the source to validate his choices.

The good thing we have to look to is that more people like DeSantis are on the Republican bench. Nikki Haley, Jim Jordan, and Josh Hawley are just a few. The Progressive, Radical Left, and WOKE policies are returning poor results. These Republicans are looking more like the answer we need today. November will be the barometer of whether America is ready to turn its back on the Woke. I pray to God they will have the strength to show up, cast their vote, and save this great country.
