Tonight’s Main Event: Paul VS Fauci

Dr. Anthony Fauci and Senator Rand Paul have locked horns on multiple occasions in Senate hearings. These conversations have given us numerous sound bites but also exposed one thing-Tony Fauci and Rand Paul genuinely dislike each other. To be honest, they hate each other.

Dr. Fauci has been in our lives daily since the Pandemic hit our shores in early 2019. Being the head of the CDC and NIH, Fauci was the man to guide us through the COVID-19 assault. He stood side by side with Donald Trump for daily briefings and even had his own. He has been a regular on all of the Sunday Talk Shows, and to many, his words are gospel. Therein lies a problem. We trusted Tony Fauci so much that we were late to see through his sometimes confusing and contradictory advice.

Senator Rand Paul is also a doctor. Rand Paul is an ophthalmologist and practiced for over ten years before running successfully for the Senate in 2010, representing the state of Kentucky. He also ran for President in 2016. Rand Paul is a Constitutional Conservative and a courageous member of Congress in that he is never afraid to speak his mind. When it comes to Dr. Fauci, Rand Paul has had a lot to say. Paul is in a unique position to debate Fauci with his medical as well as government background. This combination lends an element of ego to the debate between these two as they try to outwit each other.

The latest debate between these two combatants has been over the allegation that Fauci funneled U.S. tax dollars to different groups for Gain of Function experimentation. Gain-of-function” is the euphemism for biological research to increase the virulence and lethality of pathogens and viruses. GoF research is government-funded; its focus is on enhancing the pathogens’ ability to infect different species and increase their deadly impact as airborne pathogens and viruses. Some think this is what was happening in the Wuhan lab that was the origin of COVID-19.

While being grilled by Rand Paul about this possible funding, Dr. Fauci has vehemently denied the allegation. These sessions have gotten very heated and sometimes get very personal. An example was this past July when Fauci was testifying before a Senate committee. When the doctor and Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) directly quoted the NIH, a Wuhan virology paper, and a molecular biologist from Rutgers regarding NIH’s funding of gain-of-function in the Wuhan, China lab. President Biden’s coronavirus expert Dr. Anthony Fauci testified, “Senator Paul, you do not know what you are talking about, quite frankly. And, I want to say that officially: you do not know what you are talking about.”

The debate on this subject had been at a stalemate for months but finally came to a head this week. A letter from top NIH official Lawrence Tabak revealed that Dr. Anthony Fauci was wrong — and Senator Rand Paul was right: The NIH did fund gain-of-function viral research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through the U.S. research non-profit EcoHealth Alliance.

According to Tabak, a “limited experiment” funded by the NIH, and carried out by EcoHealth Alliance, was conducted to see if “spike proteins from naturally occurring bat coronaviruses circulating in China were capable of binding to the human ACE2 receptor in a mouse model.” According to Tabak’s letter, the altered virus made the mice it was tested in “sicker.”

Some of this may not be easy to follow. The bottom line is that this bout goes to Senator Rand Paul in the red corner. Paul did know what he was talking about, and Fauci may have lied to Congress under oath. It may eventually prove that the Chinese created COVID-19 in a lab and, by carelessness, let it leak to the world. Four million people have died from the COVID-19 Pandemic that may have been created with the help of our U.S. tax dollars.

This revelation and victory for Senator Rand Paul are heating the calls for the termination or resignation of Dr. Anthony Fauci. I do not see this happening under Joe Biden, not yet anyway. The only way that Biden will sacrifice Fauci is to lay the blame on Trump, and I am sure he has his team working on that as I type.

  1. Fauci is one of the most evil men on Earth. Keeping that in mind, I believe the release from the CCP lab in Wuhan was intentional and THAT is the dirty fact Fauci has been trying to cover up. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if Obama was in on it too.
