Lets face the facts AND the history. There is a majority of the same political party as the President in the Senate. Historically, that will cause a nomination to become an appointment regardless of what point in the Presidential term it is. Things used to be more bipartisan, but you need to look back to a time before Chuck and Nancy arrived on the scene. THEY are the people that eliminated bipartisan or nonpartisan politics.
