An old adage teaches us “Don’t listen to what someone says, but observe closely what they do!”
If government employees and representatives accept their positions stating “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God,” then how did we get to where we are today?
No, I am not an Attorney and don’t profess to ever assume I understand all of the laws of the United States. Instead, I am just another American Citizen totally confused about what is happening in Government, today.
I would first like to know why anyone swears to the above oath. Is this just a poem or phrase used for ceremonial appearance? Is the oath intended to set up perjury traps for political opponents? If it is meaningless, then why do we continue to require this as a part of the hiring or signing in ceremonies?
More critically, if it is meaningless to some but not for all, then why aren’t the ceremonies changed to reflect this attitude? America is renowned for its justice system, but how is justice served when not applied to all, equally?
Consider all the lies told by Government employees and representatives to citizens prosecuted for lying to Government? How can our system of justice be so lopsided? Is what we are now seeing a system of justice that makes us proud? If you are like most citizens, it instead makes one sick at our stomach!
Imagine the arrogance needed by anyone to deny any US Citizen of Constitutional Rights! It tells the world laws are intended for only certain people, but not others. Is this the sort of actions of a banana republic or the greatest Nation ever created?
Many Americans seek ways to help remove the hoards of illegal aliens flooding through our borders, but is that the real crisis in America, today? Please allow me to suggest our real problem is predominately with politicians and those in government positions!
My research suggests the problems within government is widespread and starts at the local levels of our cities and counties then quickly spills into State and Federal positions. As only one minor example, consider the Veterans Administration. The VA was supposedly designed to support our brave men and women dedicating their lives to protect America.
Now, like so many government scams, we learn the VA system is solely designed to reward political support – not Veterans. Instead of hiring qualified people, friends and family members populate every sort of position within the VA system. It is such a sad corrupted environment from top to bottom. Yes, it’s a great example of how bad things go wrong when government is in control.
Having interviewed several VA employees and Veterans in various locations, their stories are gut wrenching. Stupidity reigns supreme within the VA. Nothing revolves around intelligence, experience, education, or credentials. Perhaps it’s not because employees want it to be that way but because it’s what Politicians want it to be.
Logical examinations about the VA system should give us some easy conclusions. Democrats are known for shortchanging military personnel at every opportunity. Therefore, we are forced to question why Democrats support the VA system.
Well, we need go no further than asking how it can benefit Washington DC. Democrats will find ways to undermine any system for their own self-aggrandizement, right? If anything provides votes, power, and money then Democrats are all in!
I always wondered why Democrat support was so confusing when it came to our Military. Then when I began investigations to understand the correlations between Veterans and Labor Unions, things became very clear. Military personnel are generally conservative in thoughts, patriotism, and life. Trying to cultivate votes from the Military is near impossible for Democrats. Direct support for military personnel then becomes a negative vote.
Thus, instead of supporting military personnel, they went after administrative and medical support personnel that could easily become unionized to support Democrats. That is where Democrats place 100% of their attentions while attempting to deceive Americans telling us ‘it’s all about supporting our Veterans’ but it’s just another lie.
The results are incredible and sickening. We have janitors (nothing against janitors) within the VA making more money than senior management positions within the business sectors and military Veterans being uncared for or shoved out on the streets.
For Democrats, it’s an easy choice. Janitors vote for them but Veterans won’t. Such routine actions by Democrats prove they have no problem with collateral damage even Veterans. Feelings or adhering to some poem or bunch of words when they took office can’t get in their way of money and power!
Just as within the Veterans Administration, the Democrat’s brand of politics is all about havoc, injustice, denying citizens of constitutional rights, government corruption, anti-Americanism, putting Americans on welfare, eliminating jobs, crippling businesses, and they feel no regret about being mentally unstable and misdirected in their efforts to harm America – it’s just collateral damage!
How can any normal American go from taking this oath of office then intentionally support terrorists that have murdered hundreds and wounded thousands of our military personnel? How does any American prefer illegal aliens to American Citizens?
Yes, it’s impossible to justify the Democrat’s mental derangement based upon what they say verses what they do. Americans must now agree Democrats have gone beyond boundaries of recognized sanity. These are very sick people.
Why should taxpayers give them a paycheck when they hate us? If supporting and defending murderous terrorist over our own military is acceptable behavior, isn’t that treason since they are enemies of the State. Why isn’t the US Justice Department arresting the traitors instead of allowing them to write more books, give speeches, and make millions?
We must prepare for a major battle at the voting booths in 2020. America can no longer afford to allow anti-Americans to have a major voice or role in our country’s leadership!
Great article ma’am! I would add; We The People are truly responsible for those ‘politicians’ elected into office.
And as scary as the thought may be, The American Civil War act II is the solution and our Founders understood this.
Thank you, A.A., for an insightful factual article. And we must keep in mind that this travesty is repeated over and over through-out our governmental system. Newly elected, naive and well-meaning citizens are quickly drawn into “trading” for votes and other than President Truman, I am not aware of any politician who was elected poor did not retire remarkably wealthy…an impossible task given the salary the presumably earn. Civil Service rules, so well intentioned, have been the defensive wall behind which the professional bureaucracy hides and defends itself; after all, they are forever while elected officials often only last 2, 4, or 6 years, by which time they, too, are infected with the narcissistic greed gene. We know the FBI and intelligence services, like the VA but perhaps of more wide-spread danger to the Republic, are infused with self-serving attitudes contrary to their oath(s) of office. Truly, the Republic would be best served if ALL were fired and we started over.
