Trump Administration Signs Asylum Deal With El Salvador
- Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan signed an “asylum cooperation agreement” alongside El Salvador’s minister of foreign affairs, Alexandra Hill Tinoco.
- The agreement aims for El Salvador to keep U.S.-bound migrants who pass through its country, helping stop the massive flow of illegal migrants from reaching the U.S.-Mexico border.
- Hill Tinoco stressed the new Salvadoran government is pro-American, and is eager to take responsibility for the migrants who are leaving its country in large numbers.
Acting Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan announced that the U.S. has reached an asylum agreement with El Salvador, marking the latest development in the Trump administration’s effort to curb the border crisis.
“El Salvador is a critical partner for the United States in promoting the security and prosperity of Central America, and has been a reliable partner in the Northern Triangle,” McAleenan said during a press conference on Friday. “Today, we are very happy to announce the signing of this cooperative agreement between the United States and El Salvador.”
The acting Homeland Security chief spoke just after signing an “asylum cooperation agreement” alongside Alexandra Hill Tinoco, El Salvador’s minister of foreign affairs, in Washington, D.C.
Under the deal, the Trump administration could turn away asylum seekers who reach the U.S. southern border, and send them to El Salvador for refuge. Much like any third safe county agreement, migrants who pass through El Salvador on their route to the U.S. would be eligible to go back to the small Central American country for protected status. In return, the U.S. government will help bolster El Salvador’s asylum system.
The accord is part of the Trump administration’s attempt to stem the flow of migrants reaching the U.S.-Mexico border. Thousands of Central American family units cross through the region every month and immediately claim asylum, burdening Customs and Border Protection agents and causing an overflow in the U.S. immigration court system.
The Associated Press broke the news that the White House had reached a deal with El Salvador.
During the Friday press conference, McAleenan went out his way to commend the work El Salvador’s new administration has done to help with the crisis. The DHS chief noted that, since President Nayib Bukele assumed office in June, apprehensions of Salvadoran nationals at the southern border have dropped 62%. He also thanked Bukele’s government for recently deploying 300 immigration agents and 800 police and soldiers along its border.

What I have seen of late is the DemonScat agenda to allow wetbacks to come here and take root. Like LBJ’s “War on Poverty” designed to keep people dependent on government offering cradle to grave welfare Wetbacks are invited and coddled for votes. I DARE any LIEberal to prove that wetbacks do not vote!!
Wetbacks do not come to America because they love America they come here for free stuff they receive stolen from hard working Americans. They refuse to assimilate into our culture insist that Americans tolerate and adopt their culture and speak their native language.
98% of Democrats do not love America as they like wetbacks only want the irresponsibility hiding behind liberalism which affords them the ability to leech off of others, and of course the same free stuff promised by thieving politicians that is stolen from hard working Americans.
Democrats do not love America because they do not want the constitutional republic established by the framers. Anyone who loves America does so warts and all and learns from past mistakes not erase them to rewrite history to suit their agenda. Democrats wish to undo the past not realizing the past always catches up especially when one does nothing to alter their attitude
Islamists do not love America they refuse to abide by the rule of law and like the wetbacks refuse to assimilate into American culture they would just as soon see us dead and will use the sympathy of the democrats to gain political advantage. Once political advantage has been attained, America will fall under Sharia law never to return to a constitutional republic
If anyone believes such a scenario is impossible consider that Islam is not a religion. It is a governing doctrine that not only dictates religious beliefs, but also social behavior that includes laws, penalties and punishments, not by God, but by people if the laws are not obeyed. Islam is a form of government, not a religion. It does not belong here. By their own admission and the verses in the Quran, Islam’s goal is to dominate any land in which they enter and to kill and rape anyone who does not submit to their beliefs!
That alone, makes Islam an enemy of the state and constitution. It set’s Islam above all other laws and does away with all constitutional rights afforded by the constitution!

The gathering and generating of sympathy for Islamic terrorists and terrorism. The total disrespect and general destruction of our American way of life. You can’t have Sharia Law and constitutional law coexist. They are diametrically opposed. You can’t have one part of our country Sharia and the other constitutional. So what is it going to be? Radical Islam or our U.S. constitutional law? It’s up to you, the American citizen, to decide.
