Border Patrol shutters four stash houses, arrests 54 illegal aliens in Texas
U.S. Border Patrol agents and local law enforcement agencies identified four active stash houses operating in the Rio Grande Valley in the past week, resulting in the apprehension of 54 illegal aliens.
On Tuesday, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents identified a stash house operating out of a hotel in Pharr, Texas. Inside, agents arrested nine illegal aliens from the countries of Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Columbia.
On Wednesday, Rio Grande Valley Sector agents, in collaboration with the Hidalgo County Constable’s Office, identified an active stash house operating out of a residence in Edinburg, Texas. Inside, agents and deputies discovered 24 illegal aliens from the countries of Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua.
That same morning, agents, working alongside Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office, identified a residence utilized as a stash house in Brownsville, Texas. As a result, agents and deputies arrested 13 illegal aliens from the countries of Honduras and Mexico and seized six small bundles of marijuana weighing over 25 pounds worth an estimated $21K.
On Saturday, agents identified a stash house operating out of a residence in Roma, Texas. Inside, agents identified eight illegal aliens from the countries of Guatemala, Mexico and Honduras.
The Border Patrol is processing all subjects accordingly.
