Trump Tells Iranian President to Never Threaten U.S. Again

President Donald J Trump told Iranian President Hassan Rouhani Monday that he will face consequences few have faced throughout history for threatening the United States. Trump tweeted in all capital letters in response to Rouhani’s statement Sunday in which he said, “American must understand well that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace and war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”

Within hours, Iranian state-owned news agency IRNA dismissed Trump’s tweet, describing it as a “passive reaction” to Rouhani’s remarks.

Rouhani earlier warned Trump to stop “playing with the lion’s tail” and threatening Iran, “or else you will regret it.” reports Fox News.

Trump earlier this year pulled the United States out of the international deal meant to prevent Tehran from developing a nuclear weapon and ordered increased American sanctions.

Rouhani has previously lashed out against Trump for threatening to re-impose the sanctions, as well as for moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and banning travel to the U.S. from certain Muslim-majority countries. Rouhani also said that a peace with Tehran is like “the mother of all peace.”

National Security Advisor John Bolton responded to media speculation regarding the Tweet on Sunday.

“I spoke to the President over the last several days, and President Trump told me that if Iran does anything at all to the negative, they will pay a price like few countries have ever paid before,” Bolton said in a statement.

  1. GOOD!!! Standing up and pushing back at bullies is the only way to stop them…..Seriously, do you suppose that the Iran is worried & feeling pressure from President and is actually trying to start dialog? Just a thought. I know they don’t want us to support the citizen rebellion and if those still in the ‘deal’ stop doing business with them….their economy is sunk.
