Rep. Ratcliffe: Strzok ‘Failed Miserably’ During Hearing

Commenting on testimony before Congress from FBI agent Peter Strzok on Thursday, Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas.) said ‘I think he failed miserably.’

Appearing on The Story with Martha MacCallum, Ratcliffe discussed his take on testimony from FBI agent Peter Strzok before Congress on Thursday.

“I think Peter Strzok came in with two goals today, one was to prove to the American people that he wasn’t biased against Donald Trump and the second point that he tried to assert was that he never let personal beliefs cross over into official FBI action and I thought he failed miserably on both counts,” said Ratcliffe.

Ratcliffe strongly rejected Strok’s denied claim that his text messages expressing disdain for Trump “were indicative of bias.” Ratcliffe cited Strokz’s text messages about stopping Trump, impeaching Trump, and prejudging Trump’s guilt before even interviewing a single witness as ‘textbook bias.’

“When you have all of these text messages about F****** Trump, stopping Trump,  impeaching Trump, and when you prejudge Donald Trump’s guilt as the lead investigator before you interview a single witness, that’s textbook bias. As far as his personal beliefs not crossing over into official I was able to walk him off the plank with his own words there,” said Ratcliffe.

Ratcliffe further claimed that Strzok “lost all kinds of credibility today.”

“Listen, when you send 50,000 text messages on an official FBI phone on official FBI time about your personal beliefs and the actions you’re gonna take to stop Donald Trump, he lost all kinds of credibility today,” said Ratcliffe.
