Prosecute ‘sanctuary” churches that violate Federal law
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder, Colorado; and the Foothills Unitarian Church of Fort Collins, Colorado are now and have in the past provided sanctuary to convicted felon Ms. Ingrid Latorre, an illegal immigrant from Peru. Those churches are not exempt from Federal Law.
Said Unitarian churches are in violation of any or all of the following:
- 8 U.S. Code § 1327 – Aiding or assisting certain aliens to enter;
- 8 U.S. Code § 1324 – Bringing in and harboring certain aliens;
- 8 U.S. Code § 1324a – Unlawful employment of aliens;
The Religion Clause of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, that makes it prohibitory as to “… respecting an establishment of religion….”
Churches are not above the law, and Congress has the power of oversight to see that Federal Law is enforced according to our Constitution.
Pursuant to the people’s constitutional right to petition the government for a redress of grievances, and pursuant to the people’s common law right to inform government officials of alleged crimes (United States v. Smith, 623 F.2d 627, 629 (9th CCA 1980)), this matter shall be submitted to the proper Federal authorities.
