Technology Site, Gizmodo, Mocks Conservatives
Whenever you stumble upon a website, Twitter account, or Facebook page that posts “LOL! GOP!”, you know you’ve wandered into unfriendly territory. This is terminology that’s used by people who consider John Stewart’s comedy to be “sophisticated”. And more often than not, they’re not as interested in the truth as they are mocking conservatives.
So imagine my surprise, when I came across this post on Gizmodo.com: How Conservatives Made #iLikeObamaCare The Number One Topic On Twitter. In case you didn’t know, Gizmodo is a site where one would normally go to find out what the next iPhone might look like or other such random tech news. And while stories involving Twitter technically are technology news, it seems strange that they’d choose one with such political overtones.
***Update**
If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you’ll notice that Gizmodo is part of a family of websites that includes Gawker.com. Gawker has been known to have bad blood with conservative outlets such as Fox News Channel, so maybe that has something to do with the seemingly odd dig.
Gizmodo purports to be a “technology” site but comes across as little more than a social studies gathering point for bashing conservatives or anything supportive of market choice vs. government coercion, symptomatic of people too stupid to grasp the causal mechanism that gave rise to the computers and technologies that they opine through.
I would bet a paycheck that a majority of its college-educated visitors majored in the typically leftist subjectively unprincipled pseudo-sciences, e.g. political “science”, sociology, literature, psychology, etc., the produce-nothing parasitic “disciplines” rather than anything actually pertinent to real world science, technology, or other productively-valuable realm, e.g. engineering.
With that, it shouldn’t be surprising when one observes the sheer vacuity and rationalistic dishonesty of so many Gizmodo posters, lacking the logical faculties to intelligently plumb even the shallowest levels of the topics they rant on. These are the type of people who boast of being “nuanced” but are too unintelligent to recognize the more fundamental encompassing principles that their emotionally-indulgent incoherent arguments are in logical discord with.
Howdy! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew
where I could find a captcha plugin for my comment form?
I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having problems finding one?
Thanks a lot!
