TSA and the City of Sacramento try to protect the public from a hero

California in general is often the source of jokes for conservatives, as is the TSA. If this story didn’t involve a highly decorated, disabled Marine veteran, there is no doubt there would be scores of conservatives rolling in the aisles laughing at the stupidity that was on display. But, this is not remotely close to amusing – it is tragic, irresponsible, reprehensible, and inexcusable.

Cpl. Nathan Kemnitz was traveling to Sacramento to be honored for his service, and rightfully so. Unfortunately, on the way there, he was treated like a terrorist, not once, but twice. First, was at the hands of TSA. The second incident was particularly disturbing, since security for the building where he was supposed to be the guest of honor were the ones to mistreat him. I say that because the thin excuse that his uniform had too much metal, and therefore set off the alarms, was utterly unacceptable. After being subjected to a handheld metal detector being waved around me when I happen to set off an alarm at a government building countless times, I know very well that it is not necessary to require that a decorated Marine remove his uniform to verify that his medals are the cause of the alarms sounding off.

Special arrangements can be made for disabled veterans wishing to travel, so that they can be treated with the respect that they deserve when making their way through our airports and public buildings. That is not acceptable either. It is a ludicrous concept, that the Veterans’ Administration and the various security agencies – local, state and federal – cannot come up with a reasonable way to automatically treat our veterans with respect, and not force them to be insulted by invasive searches. These people are fingerprinted, photographed, and tracked completely while they are in the service, and given the government’s penchant for keeping tabs on citizens, it is not believable that all that information is removed from the system when a member of the service leaves. Beyond that, the fact is that the TSA and building security officers in Sacramento proved one simple point in this little exercise – they obviously do not have the intelligence to have the jobs they currently hold, and should be fired.

Another thing that should happen is that Cpl. Kemnitz should receive a written apology from the TSA and Sacramento security officers involved. He should receive the same from every lawmaker in the State of California, and the Governor. That won’t happen, of course, because that is the proper, and honorable thing to do. Perhaps their defense for not doing that will be as shameful as what they did in the first place – they will probably say Cpl. Kemnitz didn’t ask for an apology, so they didn’t give one. There is a reason why it is said “once a Marine, always a Marine.” And they obviously do not understand that either.

There is video footage of how they mistreated Cpl. Kemnitz. Instead of featuring that, since it’s available at the Daily Mail, here is something that honors Cpl. Kemnitz for his heroic service, and explains what the TSA and the City of Sacramento obviously do not understand.

Two Men in the News. One is a Hero.

This week the media is all aflutter over the idea that one obscure basketball player has admitted he is gay. Jason Collins, the little used center for the Washington Wizards decided the world needs to know his sexual orientation. Prior to this announcement the season averaging 1.1 point bench player was a relative unknown to most. A cynical person might even question if this coming out was a political move meant to help job security. Still, this story skyrocketed through all the news outlets and its popularity even garnered Collins a phone call from the president.

A second news story actually happened weeks ago but has barely made it to major news. In this story, a college senior shot putter freely and willingly gave up the most important meet cameron lyleof his career.

To give a life-saving bone marrow donation to a complete stranger. It’s sad that you haven’t heard about Cameron Lyle from the University of New Hampshire.

When Lyle realized that medical procedure would end his sports career he stated matter-of-factly, “It’s just a sport. Life is much more important than that. So it was pretty easy.”

The man who needs his help is said to have only six months to live without the lifesaving marrow implant.

Two stories. One getting all kinds of press. One receiving little. But one is a true hero.

Share the name of a true hero: Cameron Lyle.

It’s The Electorate Stupid!

It’s the electorate stupid!

So as one might have predicted the demonRATic leftist establishment has come out and branded the right of dissent…of free speech as unacceptable.

In the wake of what everyone knew would be coming, our economic credit worthiness downgrading, the aggressively progressive left’s discontent with our Constitution and the equal rights for all it guarantees raises it’s disloyal and ugly head again. Disagree with us and you are terrorists…you are obstructionists..you are defined as anything we choose by our name-calling to brand you for disagreeing with us. In essence they say to America…you, in the person of the Tea Party, have the unmitigated gaul to hold us to a standard of operating in the public trust and to a standard of personal and fiscal responsibility. How dare you?

Martin O’Malley, Governor of Maryland and chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, called it “obstructionism”. He forgot to define his version of obstructionism to mean any plan to curtail spending and assure that at minimum meant we have enough savings to pay the interest on our debt NOW! If Mr. O’Malley doesn’t make the minimum payment on his credit card monthly he knows that his credit rating will soon be negatively impacted. Why? Because he’s failed to meet his minimal personal and fiscal responsibility. Duuuuh!

We have but to note the near simultaneously orchestrated outburst from the Band-Aid Hero, John ‘FRAUD’ Kerry

…”This is the Tea Party downgrade…”

Echoed by Ex-Obama honcho David Axlehead…“a Tea Party downgrade.”

Not to be left out even the rambunctious Howard Dean chimed in that…“I think they’re totally unreasonable and doctrinaire and not founded in reality. I think they’ve been smoking some of that tea, not just drinking it.” Apparently unsatisfied with this verbal lashing the whiz-kid of the intellectually challenged left compounded his indiscretion with his considered partisan conclusion that the S&P downgrade is favorable because it underlines the fact that the U.S. cannot revive its credit rating without tax increases. It’s precisely this kind of anti-intellectual damage control by the left that leaves most all Americans, regardless of party, shaking their collective heads wondering how they can be so arrogant.  The obvious reason for the reduction in our credit rating is our failure to come up with any plan of fiscal responsibility to deal with our accumulating debt. The inability to curtail SPENDING of monies we do not have to spend is obvious as the primary reason.

Ironically enough demonRATic hypocrisy can be defined by the far-left at anytime in their own words. This cogent observation by the Silver Star Band-Aid hero from the Peoples’ Republick of Massawhoshitz nails it:

“We have an electorate that doesn’t always pay that much attention to what’s going on so people are influenced by a simple slogan rather than the facts or the truth or what’s happening.”(1)

Slogans like “Tea Party downgrade” Komrade Kerry?
