You Have Released a Whirlwind
Here is the quote of exactly what Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said two years ago on the steps of the United States Supreme Court.
“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price,” Schumer, who was then minority leader, said at the time. “You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Democrats downplayed the outlandish verbal rhetoric, and Schumer later walked back his words, saying he regretted the outburst. Too little, too late, for a man was arrested in Chevy Chase, MD, in the neighborhood of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home on Wednesday morning. He was taken into custody in possession of a gun, knife, and various other weapons. He turned himself in after encountering federal Marshalls guarding the Kavanaugh home. He confessed to planning to kill Brett Kavanaugh and his family.
The only thing that stood between this deranged individual and the tragedy of possibly four innocent dead people was the armed guards surrounding this home. All Supreme Court justices have been so protected since the leak of the notes on the upcoming decision on the Roe Vs. Wade consideration.
The Justices have never been afforded Secret Service Protection. The Senate voted unanimously weeks ago on a bill that would provide the men and women of the Court round-the-clock protection. Nancy Pelosi has put the bill on hold and has not allowed it to come to a vote. Why? She is not forthcoming with an answer to why.
The Constitution explicitly forbids the protesting of Judges or Justices at any level. This law is to secure the impartiality of the judicial system. 18 U.S. Code § 1507 – Picketing or parading.
Whoever, with the intent of interfering with, obstructing, or impeding the administration of justice, or with the intent of influencing any judge, juror, witness, or court officer, in the discharge of his duty, pickets or parades in or near a building housing a court of the United States, or in or near a building or residence occupied or used by such judge, juror, witness, or court officer, or with such intent uses any sound-truck or similar device or resorts to any other demonstration in or near any such building or residence, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.
This small detail, The Constitution, has not stopped the likes of Jenn Psaki from encouraging “peaceful” protests of the Justices homes from the White House podium. She also claims that the President denounces any violence but encourages the protesting. The President and his Press Secretary are knowingly encouraging the breaking of the law. Talk about unconscionable.
These Justices need protection and not just armed guards lining the perimeter of their homes. They need to know they are safe in their homes and, with their families, can come and go as they please. These people who are breaking the law and publishing the addresses of the Supreme Court Justices need to be arrested, charged and tried for their actions.
If not, those that are preventing the enforcement of the laws protecting these people are as complicit as if they carried the weapons themselves. Let’s see how quickly these bureaucrats can get something done.
