Whether you call it backed into a corner or up against a wall, the choice of Kamala Harris to be the running mate for Joe Biden is now haunting the Democrats and crippling their decisions for 2024. Some think the Democrat plan in 2020 is apparent. James Clyburn (D-SC) was the kingmaker who took the incompetent crop of candidates for the Democrat nomination and selected Joe Biden to go up against Donald Trump. The Democrat Party jumped on board with Clyburn’s decision.
Joe Biden had no intention of selecting the most qualified person to be his running mate and future successor. His field of candidates was limited to black women, from which he chose Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris dropped out of the race for nomination before Democrats cast the first primary vote. It was evident that she did not appeal to Democrats to lead the country. Harris had also labeled Joe Biden as a racist and sex offender during the debates, but all was forgotten when she was offered the second spot on the ballot.
Very soon after the election, when Biden and Harris climbed out of their respective basements to take control of the White House, everyone realized that the Democrats got rid of the evil Donald Trump but unearthed a new set of problems. Joe Biden is an incompetent leader with a decreasing acuity level, but the person waiting in the wings has shown to be less competent. The approval ratings for Joe Biden are dropping faster than Kamala to her knees on her rise to power. Over 70% of Americans feel we are on the wrong track, and less than 40% think that Joe Biden is competent to perform his duties.
What options do Democrats have? They are few, and all are worse than what they have now. If they need to remove Biden due to his increased lack of mental ability, they end up with Kamala behind the resolute desk. If they can hide Joe for the next three years, they will be hard-pressed to move Kamala out of the way for any Democrat candidate they think can get elected after fours years of Biden. The best option would be to replace Kamala first and then get Joe to retire gracefully. Then whoever the party comes up with to replace Kamala would become President.
This scenario might be the best option, but it does not matter. It is not going to happen. With as bad a job as Kamala can muster, she will never resign with dignity, and she holds 2 Aces that say she will never allow anyone to remove her. She is a woman and Black. Those two aces will beat anything in your hand.
Yes, the Democrats are boxed in and have no place to go, but this is their doing. They cannot claim sympathy for they did this to themselves. They saw this plan as their ticket to the Oval Office, and it was. But as usual, the left did not plan for future moves, and now they have none. Watching them squirm is a beautiful thing, don’t you think?
