Aaron Mostofsky, a prominent Brooklyn judge’s son, was arrested by law enforcement Tuesday for his role in the mob that stormed the Capitol Building last week in Washington D.C., the New York Post reported.

Mostofsky, who was arrested at his brother’s house in Brooklyn, is reportedly being held on multiple charges, including theft of federal property for allegedly stealing a riot shield and bulletproof vest, according to the Post.

The NYC Scanner tweeted video footage of the arrest where federal authorities can be seen lugging alleged evidence out of a basement dwelling in his brother’s home.

Mostofsky, son of New York State Supreme Court Justice Shlomo Mostofsky, was seen for the first time in public last week after photos emerged showing him participating in the riot at the U.S. Capitol, which resulted in the deaths of 5 people, including a Capitol police officer.

He was spotted leaving his home carrying a plastic bag and a suit on a hanger and reportedly traded his fur costume worn at the Capitol for an orange winter coat as well as a baseball cap, according to the Post.

Mostofsky is scheduled to appear before a federal judge on the charges Tuesday afternoon.

Mostofsky told the Post Wednesday that he thought the election was stolen, saying “I don’t think 75 million people voted for Trump — I think it was close to 85 million.”

“I think certain states that have been red for a long time turned blue and were stolen, like New York,” Mostofsky said.
