Liz Cheney Says Democrats Are Using A Pseudo Scandal To Set Trump Up For Impeachment
Rep. Liz Cheney suggested that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is using a pseudo-scandal to set up President Trump for impeachment.
The Republican congresswoman expressed doubt about the House speaker’s motive in a Monday tweet. Cheney tweeted out a clip of Pelosi’s appearance on 60 Minutes, in which Pelosi spoke about the contents of Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“[President Trump] told me [the call] was perfect, that there was nothing in the call,” Pelosi says in the clip. “But I know what was in the call. I mean, it was in the public domain.”
Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump based on the contents of the Ukraine phone call a day before Trump released the transcript. Pelosi said that Trump called her on Tuesday after her announcement to try and tamp down the impeachment push. Trump denied making such an attempt.
Pelosi’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Pelosi will have the opportunity to spend 2020 working on House majority. She’s also hoping that Republican voters don’t have the energy by next November with the impeachment inquiry. She wants to make sure that they defeat Trump in the elections as well as making sure that Democratic House candidates are capable of beating the Republican ones seeking their seats.
If everyone is thinking about impeachment in 2020, it may be an easy win for Trump because no one will be focused on anything other than impeachment. This means that she has no choice but to go ahead and make a big show of the impeachment now with the hope that people will forget about it by next year.

Lawmakers and strategists in both parties say impeachment could drown out almost every other issue in next year’s elections, making races for the House and Senate a referendum on President Trump.
Both parties believe the fight could work to their advantage by driving partisans to the polls, creating some real uncertainty — especially for senators and House lawmakers in swing states or districts.
“There are about 18 [Democratic-held] House seats that are in districts that Trump won and it’s going to be a tough vote for those swing-district Democrats. They’re going to have to really think deep and hard about this. Are they going to take care of their base or are they going to take care of independents?” said Republican strategist Chip Saltsman.
A flurry of new polls show growing support for impeachment, a warning sign for Trump and his party. But the vast majority of Republicans still oppose impeachment, and independents are split. Republicans like to point out that the impeachment of former President Clinton backfired on their party in 1998 when Democrats defied historical trends and picked up five seats in that year’s midterm election.

Hunter Biden told The New Yorker previously that he and his father had spoken “just once” about Hunter Biden’s work in Ukraine.
A source close to Archer told Fox News the photo was taken in August 2014. Contemporaneous news reports indicate the vice president was in the Hamptons at the time. Hunter Biden and Archer joined the Burisma Holdings board in April 2014.
Joe Biden is so confident that he can say whatever he wants without any consequences. He knows the system is rigged in his favor. And yet the narrative of the MSM is that Donald Trump is the villain and Joe Biden will save us.

Andrew Bakaj – the so-called “whistleblower’s” attorney – blasted the New York Times for supposedly putting his client’s life in danger.“Any decision to report any perceived identifying information of the whistle-blower is deeply concerning and reckless, as it can place the individual in harm’s way,” Bakaj declared. “The whistle-blower has a right to anonymity.”
The Times defended this decision.
The president and some of his supporters have attacked the credibility of the whistle-blower, who has presented information that has touched off a landmark impeachment proceeding,’’ New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet claimed. “The president himself has called the whistle-blower’s account a ‘political hack job.’’’
Bakaj’s outrage – and the Times’ response – were part of a carefully orchestrated campaign to prevent the so-called “whistleblower” from ever testifying in public.
By claiming his client faced threats to his life and livelihood, Bakaj tried to box Congress in to prevent the “whistleblower” from ever having to explain himself or answer for the lies and partisan bias in his complaint.
As one commenter so rightly put it “I could care less about the safety of a traitor to our country. That was the risk the whistleblower took when he fabricated all the lies. Amazing how he didn’t blow his whistle on criminal Joe Biden and his worthless son. I’m sick of the liberals caring about protecting the wrong people and performing crimes to get their agenda pushed. Arrests are PAST DUE! America wants them! Our country shouldn’t be abused this way. We have a justice system, USE IT!!!”
Trump supporters also had a sense they saw this movie before. This is not the first time the Deep State dispatched an undercover operative into Donald Trump’s world to cause problems.
During the campaign, the FBI sent an undercover spy to pump campaign officials for information. A rogue CIA officer embedded in the White House scheming to take down the President with another manufactured collusion “scandal” is just the latest iteration of the Deep State coup.
Never in my life have I ever seen such a mean, nasty, ugly attempt to overthrow a president just because the election didn’t go their way. Trump is doing so much good for the country, more than any other president with over 200 accomplishments so far and everyone is doing better under him, taxes are lower ,gas prices are lower since Trump opened the pipelines and ordered drilling in places like ANWAR so we are now energy independent for the first time in 75 years and not dependent on OPEC, companies are coming back here to manufacture here and hire here in droves since Trump lowered the business tax from 34% to 21%, people have more money in their paychecks because he lowered the FICA tax and the list goes on, but the opposition wants to destroy all that and turn us into a socialist/communist country. What we’re seeing here is “any means justifies achieving the goal”. Liberals have been stamping out the continued development of conscience in schools for decades. Ethics are just plain inconvenient, except when the appearance of using them can be politically weaponized.
Democrats have done nothing for the American people since Election Day in 2016. Their only focus has been to remove Trump from office. That’s it. Even with Trump under constant attack, this administration managed to move the country forward, something in which the Democrats have had little interest.
If Hilary got in or any democrat we would be in very, very dark times. And now there is talk she may run again. God help us.
