No one admires a hypocrite. For starters you can’t trust them. They aren’t honest. They are double dealing frauds. That pretty much describes the leaders of the Democrat party. For that matter it pretty much sums up the whole progressive ideology. When our leaders, of either party, practice blatant hypocrisy it demonstrates a lack of core principles that is dangerous to our republic. Our Founding Fathers envisioned a system where two or more contenders would argue their positions and the electorate would vote for the candidate whose point of view they agreed with the most. Today, for far too many Democrats, that is not the case. Instead these newly “woke” candidates campaign for whatever they believe will get them elected.
The examples of their duplicity are too numerous to recite. Democrat leaders, Obama, both Clintons, Schumer, Pelosi, and current front runner Joe Biden have all expressed completely contrary positions on just about every issue out there, including but not limited to, illegal immigration, abortion, gay rights, gun rights, and foreign policy. You name it. Even the true believers like Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, or Bernie Sanders are supporters of a party that practices hypocritical behavior.
Over the last few years this hypocrisy has been most clearly demonstrated by the continuous attacks by the Democrats against any and all conservatives, especially President Trump. Remember the Democrat outrage over Russian meddling in our election? They accused Trump of collusion to help the Russians meddle and it led to a Special Counsel investigation. On the other hand there is considerable evidence that the Clinton controlled DNC used foreign sources to produce the Steele Dossier which relied heavily on Russian sources. Yet there is no outrage from Democrats. On the contrary, Democrats angrily resist Republican efforts to investigate what really happened. Oh, and less we forget, in 2106 President Obama sent $350,000 tax payer dollars to a group campaigning to defeat Israeli Prime Minister Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel. And now there’s the whole Ukrainian situation. Democrats are accusing President Trump of pressuring the new Ukrainian to “dig up dirt” on former Vice President Biden to influence the 2020 election. Yet it now looks as if the Democrats were involved in getting the Ukrainians to leak information that led to Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, being removed and eventually indicted. (https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/435029-as-russia-collusion-fades-ukrainian-plot-to-help-clinton-emerges) Part of the Democrat’s rational for impeachment is the President’s supposed abuse of power, yet they have no problem with then Vice President Biden explicitly pressured the Ukraine to fire a prosecutor that might have exposed a shady deal with Biden’s son. Nor was it a problem for them when three powerful Democrat senators (Menendez, Durbin, and Leahy) wrote a letter much more threatening to the Ukraine than anything shown in the Trump phone call transcript. To demand impeachment hearings for Trump for supposedly doing something remotely similar is hypocrisy.
The entire progressive ideology of the Democrat Party is hypocritical. Contrast the Democrat condemnation of Brett Kavanaugh, including calling for his impeachment, with their lack of interest in sexual assault accusations against Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax. Or, how about the progressives cultural appropriation condemnations for even wearing an ethnic Halloween costume, yet Elizabeth Warren gets a pass when she claims a Native American ancestry? (The fact she did it for personal gain makes it even more “deplorable,” to borrow a Hillary Clinton descriptor.)
Today Democrats constantly bombard us with examples of white racism by conservatives. Yet in Virginia both the Governor and the Attorney General have been photographed in black face and Democrats don’t care that they still have their jobs. Capital punishment is evil, late term abortion is fine. Vaping must be banned because it addicts people to nicotine, yet smoking weed is okay, never mind the THC. Prejudice against homosexuals is wrong, but you can’t condemn Islam for their treatment of gays. The whole progressive creed, the philosophy adopted by the Democrats, is rift with hypocrisy.
Basically, if “X” is bad for “A,” then it must also be bad for “B.” When it’s not, there’s a problem. When President Trump can be attacked for ignoring the law, but sanctuary cities are applauded there’s a problem. When a sailor gets sent to Leavenworth for taking a selfie at his work station, but Hillary walks after destroying 30,000 emails under subpoena, there’s a problem. Hypocrisy allows for two sets of rules and eliminates the concept of equal justice under the law. It threatens our Constitutional Republic, since the rule of law is the basis for society. The Democrats who are embracing blatant two-faced hypocrisy are a threat to our society, as is the whole progressive set of values.
