My Vacation Experience at Maalaea Surf Resort
When you need a place to stay, you can definitely feel comfortable here. My wife and I stayed at one of the Maalaea Surf Resort G8 condos and it was fabulous. Everything was fully furnished, and since we didn’t get a proper honeymoon, this was our chance to get away. We didn’t even use all the amenities! (The pool and surrounding area is amazing, but we spent more of our time on the beach than anything).
Where is Ma’alaea Surf?
In Maui, this place offers a great view near Sugar Beach, and is not very far from Kihei. The natives weren’t too bad either, as they’re pretty used to tourists, and for only a little over 300 bucks, this resort is as top of the line as it gets. You can swim in the pool, play tennis, as well as shuffleboard, and is right smack dab in the between the Kahului Airport and the ocean, yet far enough away from all of the other popular resorts and areas. It was pretty secluded, which is great, because we love our privacy.
What do you get with a condo?
They call it a condo; I called it a new home away from home. The condos are fully furnished with excellent condition and quality appliances, even your own cooking utensils should you want to cook a good meal.
It had central air, plenty of ceiling fans, high speed internet (which went well with the two smart television systems they had in it), 2 king size beds, a queen sofa, and 2 full baths. This was great, because we each had our own bathrooms we could groom and tidy up in at the same time. Parking was free, and even though we have a chihuahua, we didn’t bring her with us (pets aren’t allowed). We are smokers, and even though the condos were no smoking, we still were able to smoke outside as long as we kept things picked up. But for those who are non-smokers, it’s important to know that your rooms shouldn’t be smoked in.
We got the room during the Value season, as it was to celebrate both our honeymoon, and give a great birthday present to each other. And even better, the kids got to stay at home with the family, so we got to experience all of the furniture, plus the gorgeous scenery surrounding our cozy hub.
The Price is Right
The key with staying at any resort like this, is booking your stay when it fits you. And no matter the season (except for the holiday season and Valentine’s seasons), the price is super cheap compared to some of the other places which don’t offer the same amount of comfort and value. The owner is also super friendly, and easy to work with. And with all of the lifestyle conveniences at your doorstep, it was great being able to have access to various things, from the live concerts, to the fun dining experience complete with authentic Hawaiian cuisine. Next year, we’re going to bring the kids!
