Those who get their news only from the mainstream media have likely already convicted Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempted rape, but when you compare the actions of he and his accuser a different picture emerges.
Christine Blasey Ford, a California psychology professor, has alleged that Judge Kavanaugh attempted to rape her at a party when they were teens.
|Christine Blasey Ford||Judge Brett Kavanaugh|
|Offered to testify, in public under oath on the allegations||Yes||Yes|
|Backed out at the last minute||Yes||No|
|Required a set of pre-conditions before testifying||Yes||No|
|Has witnesses backing their side of the story||No||Yes|
|Looking to delay any hearing||Yes||No|
|Had a friend recant their account of the allegations||Yes||No|
|Has inconsistencies in the allegations or responses to the allegations||Yes||No|
|Demanded not to be questioned by outside counsel||Yes||No|
There are also undeniable facts about the accuser that call her claims into question and that cannot be compared with Kavanaugh’s actions:
- Demanded a criminal investigation but, for 36 years, has failed to file a simple police report (criminal complaint that would require law enforcement to investigate)
- Has struggled to remember key information about the location, timing, people and circumstances at the alleged party (whether the party actually happened is even in question)
- Why, if Blasey Ford thinks that preventing Kavanaugh from obtaining public office is so important, did she not bring these allegations when he was nominated for his D.C. Circuit seat?
First, the Maryland county in which Ms. Ford alleges the attack took place has publicly stated that it would start an investigation as soon as she files a criminal complaint. There is no barrier, all she has to do is take the information she thought best to send to Congress and copy it on to a police report.
Then, any criminal psychologist would testify that a 17-year-old man who displayed the behavior Christine Blasey Ford alleges young Kavanaugh did, would certainly have repeated it over-and-over in the course of the last three-plus decades. You aren’t a psychopath one year then a decent, law-abiding, well-respected man according to every other woman you meet, work with, date and/or marry.
Altogether, someone appears to be hiding something, and it’s not who CNN, NBC, MSNBC, the New York Times and Washington Post are saying.Wake up Right! Subscribe to our Morning Briefing and get the news delivered to your inbox before breakfast!
