“Today we are pleased to announce a campaign rally featuring President Donald Trump, in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, March 10,” Trump’s Campaign COO Michael Glassner said in a statement. “The president is really looking forward to visiting the Pittsburgh area to highlight the benefits that his historic tax cuts are providing hard-working families across Pennsylvania and to celebrate our booming economy now that America is once again open for business.”
The event will be held at the Atlantic Aviation facility in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh, at 7:00 p.m. EST and doors will open at 4:00 p.m.
Tickets for the rally are free and available upon request HERE.
The event “was originally scheduled last month but was postponed out of respect for the victims of the Parkland, Florida shooting,” the campaign noted in an announcement. The rescheduled rally comes just three days before Pennsylvania’s 18th Congressional District holds a special election for its U.S. House seat which opened up when Republican Rep. Tim Murphy resigned after allegations that he had an extra-marital affair and when he thought his mistress had gotten pregnant, told her to get an abortion.
Trump supports Rick Saccone who has been a long time Republican member of the Pennsylvania State House. He is running against former Marine Conor Lamb.
Both parties have spent heavily in the district with Democrats hoping to steal a seat from the GOP ahead of the mid-term elections. Republicans are banking on Trump supporters to pull Saccone to the finish line as the president won the 18th district by a wide margin in 2016. The rally will highlight Trump’s successes with tax reform and the economy in hopes of reinvigorating his base and getting them to the polls the following Tuesday.
