Trump announces winners of 2017 ‘Fake News Awards’; Breaks the Internet
Update: Results finally released HERE
President Donald Trump announced Wednesday night on Twitter that the winners of his “Fake News Award” had been chosen.
“And the FAKE NEWS winners are…” he tweeted. Then posted a link to gop.com which, unfortunately, got slaughtered by the onrush of traffic hoping to see the results.

“The site is temporarily offline, we are working to bring it back up. Please try back later,” the error message read immediately after the president’s post. Then the error changed to “Timed out while waiting on cache-dca17751-DCA” indicating that either a whole ton of people were interested in the results or a highly successful denial-of-service attack. My vote is on a whole bunch of people looking forward to the awards ceremony in which the president would announce the best-of-the-worst news stories in 2017.
The site finally became accessible after about an hour and the results can be found HERE.
Until then, we leave you with Trump’s thoughts on the media:
Despite some very corrupt and dishonest media coverage, there are many great reporters I respect and lots of GOOD NEWS for the American people to be proud of!
