Trump to Make School Lunches Good Again
Michelle Obama is about to lose the ‘War on School Lunch’
After years of watching kids throw Michelle Obama’s ‘healthy’ lunches in the garbage, the Trump administration is working to undo overbearing and unnecessary lunch regulations put in place by the Obama administration.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that it will introduce a rule to provide “regulatory flexibility” to the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
The proposed changes have not yet been released, but it is a highly likely that Michelle Obama’s strict nutritional guidelines will be the target of the new rule that is expected to be announced Monday.
NLSP provides lunches at reduced cost or for free to children in need. Former First Lady Michelle Obama imposed guidelines that made the lunches unpalatable to most causing rampant food waste as children simply dumped most of what was included into the trash.
