Top Obama Official Admits ‘Colleagues’ Hoarded and Leaked Intelligence on Trump

A top Obama administration official has acknowledged efforts by her and colleagues to gather intelligence on Donald Trump before he took office and to conceal the sources of that intelligence from the incoming administration.

Obama’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas told MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski how she and her colleagues rushed to hoard intelligence and leak it.

I was urging my former colleagues, and, and frankly speaking to people on the Hill, it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration.

Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior people who left; so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, um, that the Trump folks – if they found out HOW we knew what we knew about their, the Trump staff, dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods meaning we would no longer have access to that intelligence.

So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia; so then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were also trying to also help get information to the Hill.

The first instinct is to pile on the unwitting former Obama official, but taking a step back, one might argue that she’s in fear that lawfully-gathered intelligence gathered by them would get destroyed once Trump became president. Unfortunately for Evelyn, that pile of nonsense doesn’t hold up.

“That’s why you have the leaking,” Farkas exclaimed not realizing she was incriminating herself, her co-workers or both. It is as if she doesn’t realize that two felonies have been committed for which substantial time in federal prison is the penalty.

Unmasking a surveilled U.S. person without cause and leaking the information to unauthorized persons could result in as much as 10 years in prison for each count.

The information made it into the newspapers, on television – out in the open as spooks would say – and she admits being part of the conspiracy to make that happen.

This story has been tucked away by NBC since early March for obvious reasons: this will crush the mass media’s whole new red scare narrative and turn attention to the illegal goings-on of team Obama.

Sean Hannity had democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov on the 5 pm hour of his radio show to discuss the Farkas interview and she admitted that this was damning and had no defense for it. As she is due to appear on Hannity’s Fox News show tonight, it will be interesting to see how the liberal spin mistress handles this grenade.
