Biased ABC News story on Russia gets blasted by Trump

ABC News struck back at the revelation, brought out by House Intelligence chair Rep. Devin Nunes Wednesday, that Trump’s communications were surveilled and U.S. persons were improperly unmasked. The news outlet quoted Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to refute Rep. Nunes’ claims.

“[Chairman Nunes] will need to decide whether he is the chairman of an independent investigation into conduct which includes allegations of potential coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russians, or he is going to act as a surrogate of the White House because he cannot do both,” said Schiff.

ABC uses the story to keep the Russian collusion story alive – the same story that was debunked by the directors of the FBI and NSA.

House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff, D-Calif. was direct in telling MSNBC’s “MTP Daily” that the evidence of collusion between the campaign and Russia was “more” than circumstantial.

“I don’t to want go into specifics, but I will say that there is evidence that is not circumstantial, and it is very much worthy of investigation,” said Schiff. “So, that is what we ought to do.”

Trump said Wednesday that he felt “somewhat” vindicated by the information Nunes delivered and ABC made sure that Schiff’s retort came right behind it.

“I don’t think anything is vindicated here except the president’s commitment to now quadruple down on a baseless accusation against his predecessor,” said Schiff.

ABC News then turned to Pelosi to … uh .. tell the other side of the story?

“The Chairman’s highly irregular conduct with the White House raises serious questions about his impartiality, especially given his history as part of the Trump transition team,” said Pelosi in a statement. “Congress must create a comprehensive, independent, bipartisan commission to expose the full truth of the Trump-Russia connection.”

President Donald Trump was obviously disappointed in the story and took to, where else, twitter to let it be known:

Democrats need to keep the New Red Scare alive and have will aggressively fight any and every narrative to the contrary. Lucky for them, the media is there to help.
