“Do as I say not as I do”. We have all heard this phrase at least a time or two in our life. I would most likely hear from my Dad when he would bypass using the right tool for the job at hand or not using safety devices while performing a quick fix on something around the house. Some of us have even said it ourselves.
We have heard many variations of this phrase from Obama and his gang of thugs recently. They tell us that in lean economic times we must “tighten our belts”. Obama seems to think we are idiots and haven’t figured out that the economy is and has been down for quite some time now.
Obama says “eat your peas” while he and his family vacations on our dime. Yes, I agree that there must be some compromise but to Obama that means that the Republicans must bow to what Obama wants. Trillions of dollars have been spent foolishly on pork programs that have not improved the economy at all. A tax increase on any income level would only drive the economy down further.
What many people forget is that the “rich” people are normally the ones that employee the rest of America. It boils down to trickle-down economics, raise the taxes on the business owners and that will force the owner to lay off workers or at minimum raise the price of the product or service provided to make up the difference.
Obama has now resorted to his classic Chicago style politics by using scare tactics’ saying Social Security checks may not go out and/or the men and women of our military might have to go without or endure a cut in pay. Why is it that they threaten to cut pay to the elderly, disabled and the armed forces but never mention the politicians going without paychecks or taking a pay decrease?
Most Republicans along with most American citizens agree that spending cuts is the primary solution. There is no better way to cut spending than to make the politicians give up their paychecks. Make congress and the others on Capitol Hill give up their paychecks and benefits that the rest of us are not privileged to. To guarantee that the broken systems of Social Security, Medicare and other programs that We the People are subject to are repaired, put the politicians on the same plans. When they have to endure the same rules as the rest of America is when the system will finally get repaired properly.
I find it odd that Moody’s Investor Services announced that they might have to downgrade the U.S. credit rating if the debt ceiling is not raised. Could Moody’s be in with Obama or his group of thugs? I cannot say either way.
Now is the time to drastically cut spending and funding to the many programs that are not vital to the survival of the citizens of the United States. When the American family falls on tight economic times we eat our peas, rice, potatoes or other varieties of food that we can stretch our dollar on. It is time for the federal government to do the same. If the frivolous spending of the taxpayers hard earned money does not end in a quick fashion then there will soon be a free fall like we have never seen before.
