6 Vital Battlefronts in the Fight for America

America’s devastating loss to Obama last week has prompted a lot of discussion about how the Republican Party moves forward from here. The talk of dropping social conservatism is the most disturbing to me. Social conservatism is the “values” wing of American Dream. The debt is a moral issue every bit as much as it is a fiscal one. It must be conquered in a variety of different ways, including molding a society that does not have so much need of so many taxpayer-funded programs. Besides, the Democrats aren’t tossing their social platform. Abortion, gay marriage, restriction of religious freedoms – these are all social issues. If we take our stance off the table we are simply conceding that the Democrats are the moral authority of all these things. No, going Democrat-lite is not the answer. Some adjustments and compromises will be made within the party regarding certain issues, to be sure. However, those compromises need not compromise the core principles and traditional values of our party.

All those details have yet to be worked out, but in the meantime there are things we can be doing strategically to pave the road for what is to come. Andrew Breitbart was right: this is war; but it is a war with many battlefronts. We don’t all have to focus on one thing at a time. I’ve come up with six battlefronts that I think will be instrumental in turning the party and this country around.

Media – There is no doubt the mainstream media went a long way to winning this election for Obama. Their cover-ups and silence of administration scandals and their nonstop demonizing of Republicans and conservatives have flooded the airwaves for years.  It has an enormous effect on how the general public views the Republican party and hot button issues. In his book Left Turn: How Liberal Media Bias Distorts the American Mind, author Tim Groseclose conducted a study in which he concluded the liberal bias of the mainstream media adds as much as 8-10 polling points to the Democrat candidate in any given race. In an election year where the two candidates were running neck and neck, that figure is disturbing. How would the tide and tone of the election have been different if the mainstream media had been less bias and more curious? It is imperative we disable the traditional media complex. They have proven they cannot be trusted to report the truth. If we are to change the perception of the Republican Party the first place to start is the media. They need to held accountable, infiltrated where possible and circumvented regularly. Bloggers and alternative news sources like Fox and talk radio will obviously play a key role in wrestling back the news cycle.

Culture – This is a front conservatives abandoned long ago. The arts and entertainment industry sets the tone of our culture, and they have skewed almost exclusively left for years. Meanwhile, we moved on to more “weighty” issues in an attempt to ignore the “fluff”. The problem with that is, while we were arguing about tax structure and constitutional values, the American public fell in love with Madonna, JayZ, Glee, the forensic procedural and the Daily Show – all of which/whom are heavily influenced by liberal ideology; and since many Americans are more familiar with what Jon Stewart thinks than what the constitution says, perhaps it wasn’t such a great strategy to turn our back on the culture. To quote the late, great Breitbart one more time: “Politics is downstream of culture.” We need to do everything we can to win back this culture and take back “the norm”. How do we do this? By supporting good, quality entertainment that reinforces American values and by shunning offensive entertainment. This does not mean trying to create a bunch of pro-American, in-your-face “conservative” works. It just means stripping pop culture of its political agenda. We don’t need to create “message art”. Too often that results in sub par productions that go nowhere. Good work will draw attention and the values of any creator will seep into any creation regardless of intention. We need more good work by good artists who love America and conservative principles; and when we see that good work we need to be sure to support it with our dollars and our time.

Community Outreach – Probably one of the most dismal failures of the GOP is that they have given up on the votes of minority communities. It’s no secret that Blacks and Latinos in particular are generally socially conservative and yet vote Democrat en masse. The Democrats successfully  rebranded their party from the founders of the KKK and Jim Crow while at the same time shifting the accusation of racism to the Republicans. Let’s not kid ourselves – it was a masterful stroke that has dealt a crippling blow to the GOP over the last 50 years. As a result, we’ve conceded that minorities will never vote Republican in large blocks again. We have to stop being afraid of the word ‘racist’. We know it’s not true and we know our platform is one that promotes economic prosperity for all, not just some. There are many dedicated and passionate minority Republicans who are ready and able to start wading into communities where our message has not always been welcome and start articulating the message of freedom. The GOP needs to get these folks platforms in the communities and start surprising people by shattering the misconceptions of Republicans. We will also need to step up even more on the private charity front. We know many more families will be suffering as the economy continues to tank. We need to reach out to those hurting families. It is an opportunity to model  our belief that individuals can do more  to help their suffering neighbors and communities than the government can, and in a more sustainable way. Becoming consistent stewards of our neighbors will go a long way to healing false divisions foisted upon us by the liberal media complex.

Legal – I was going to make education a separate battlefront because the hijacking of our education system by the “social justice” crowd has had an enormous impact on the world view of the children who go on to become our leaders. However, I decided to include it under the ‘Legal’ battlefront because most of the issues in our education system will need to be won through the courts. We’ll need lawyers and legal minds to continue to battle those trying to remove religious freedoms or freedom of thought from our schools. School choice is almost always challenged in the courts wherever the people have passed it. It will need to continue to be defended. We’ll also need to continue to battle the education complex for parental rights and fight the myriad of legal maneuvers by teachers unions to strengthen their grip on our school system while simultaneously eroding education. Besides education, we’ll need continued legal support against courts overturning the will of the people on controversial issues they’ve voted on and constitutional violations in the public square. The legal battlefront is one of the most difficult because it requires a certain, expensively acquired skill-set and a lot of money…which is probably what makes it one of the more important battlefronts.

Political – The GOP needs to start putting our minority brethren in front of the camera and start putting money behind their endeavors. The “face” of the party needs to change to reflect the changing demographics of this nation. It may feel patronizing to some, but the truth is people are more inclined to trust those who look like them, and the majority of Americans are now “minorities”. Let’s catch up to that. As brilliant as they are, the GOP needs to remove Sununu and Gingrich and McCain as the public faces of the party and start flooding the airwaves with our equally brilliant minority representatives. Every interview, tv appearance, public appearance should include a minority face. We need to do it until it becomes normal and expected in the general public. This strategy has worked in our pop culture to normalize behaviors and activities we would never have publically approved of in the past. The GOP needs to adopt this same strategy and change their public perceptions.

Faith – The holiday season is upon us and at this time of year more than any other we see faith and religious values under assault in the public square. Generally speaking, faith has become a target of the left – from removing Christian references from schools to punishing small school children for drawing pictures of Jesus to forcing Catholics to violate their religious conscience and on and on. The Democrats removed God from their official platform at the DNC and when they tried to reinsert Him after a public outcry He was booed…three times! The Democrats speak of tolerance but they move to block God at every turn. We need people willing to fight for freedom of religion in the courts, in the public square and in their hometowns. Freedom of faith is the backbone of this country and why it was founded and fought for in the first place. Our laws and our traditions are based on Judeo-Christian values. There will be no successful political strategy that doesn’t involve protecting the religious freedom of Americans. This must be considered a vital battlefront if we are to win in the future.

We are all a part of this “war for America”, but we are all gifted in different areas. Many regular Americans feel that they are not empowered to affect the process. To that I say “You have more power than you know. You have a gift. You have a skill. Take those skills and gifts, find a battlefront where they apply and go to work!”

The bad news is our fight is just beginning. The good news is…our fight is just beginning.

Teacher tells class Obama’s re-election is ‘America’s funeral’

A Louisiana teacher tells her class that Obama’s re-election is “America’s funeral”, and the parents are outraged! You will see in this interview that the parents believe the teacher “should keep her personal views to herself and not push it on kids”, yet they have no problem with the liberal indoctrination and Obama worship from other teachers? You can’t have it both ways! If a teacher shouldn’t talk politics with students, it should be across the board, not just for those who oppose the president.

America You Really Blew It

America had the perfect opportunity to turn this country around and get it back on the road to prosperity, but America, you blew it. We had standing in front of us, the perfect man to get us out of the situation we find ourselves in. A leader, a successful businessman, a successful Governor, a good man, an honest man, a thoughtful man, a generous man, an intelligent man, a compassionate man, a hard working get it done type of man, but instead America chose a man who is the complete opposite, what the hell were you thinking?

America, instead you chose a man who chooses to divide our country, a man who said he was going to unite the country, but did the complete opposite. He has been the most divisive President in my life time. America, I believe you elected a man who cares little about its people, but only cares about shoving his idealistic views down our throats. Richard Trumka, head of the most powerful union AFL-CIO said,  “We did deliver those states, Without organized labor, none of those states would have been in the president’s column.” Do you think it is big payback time for the unions? Trumka also said that Obama should raise taxes on the rich, not make cuts to Social Security or Medicaid, and to pay no attention to the deficit, as Trumka goes, so does Obama.

America, you have chosen a man who has done little to restore our economy over the past four years and our standing around the world. You have chosen a man who chooses to lead from behind and who passes the heavy lifting to others, as a matter of fact he is known as a week negotiator and his own party prefers that he stays away from negotiations, what kind of leader is that?

America, did you happen to notice that when hurricane Sandy hit, he flew to New Jersey, took a few pictures, told the press he was going to take care of it and was never seen or heard from again. Two weeks later hundreds of thousands of people still have no lights, no heat, no transportation, no food, yet he promised to take care of it, where is the leadership?

America, You re-elected a man who showed no plan for his next four years except to say forward, if you thought the first four years were bad, the next four years, with him not worrying about having to be re-elected, well all I can say is bend over and spread em, but don’t complain because you asked for it.

America, with the re-election of Obama, you now allow Obamacare to take effect. Because of that, the day after he was re-elected, dozens of companies started to lay off workers, with many other companies to follow. Obamacare was set-up supposedly so everyone would have insurance, but let me ask you; maybe everyone will have an insurance card, but does mean everyone will have access to medical care? Many doctors are leaving the profession and over 27% of doctors say they will not take insurance, only cash. If people would just have taken the time to read the law, they would realize what a disaster it really is.

America, you have re-elected a man who gave us trillion dollar deficits each year he was in office, who has given us over 16 trillion dollars of debt, who gave America its first credit down grade in our nation’s history, who continues to grow government and keeps borrowing money from other countries to fuel his spending habits. Oh, and by the way, the unemployment rate is still higher today than when he took office, after four years and you can expect it to go higher.  You call that leadership?

America, what else can I say, you really blew it. You could have given the reins to a man who would have brought true hope and prosperity to this country, but instead you gave them to a man who after four years showed you who he was and that he was incapable of doing the job, now we all have to pay.

If you had any doubts before if Obama was a Socialist Marxist at heart, wait and see what he has in store for his second term with a boat load of new Government regulation.

This is a special note to all the so-called Republicans and Conservatives out there who complained about Obama for four years, then chose not to vote because you did not like Romney. I blame you more than anyone else, from here on out you have no right to complain about Obama, because you are the ones that put him back in office.

My Country No More

The election is over. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am, along with many others, I am sure. However, the thing that I am most disheartened about is that we are no longer a center-right country. It seems the people of this country have chosen to go the way of bigger Government and with that comes fewer freedoms; The Supreme Court will without a doubt be dominated with Liberal justices,  I hope the people understand what they have given up.

Yes, Obama is a big Government guy, he still thinks that Government is the answer to all problems, he is supposed to be a Constitutional professor, the Constitution was written purposely to restrict big Government, I guess he wasn’t much of a professor either. However, now it seems that the American people also agree with him, big Government is necessary for America, I still do not agree. He came into Washington, not for the good of the American people, but to force his idea of what America should be down our throats and to fuel his radical Liberal agenda. Yes, he was slick, slick as a used car salesman, who by the way have a higher trust factor then politicians do. Just about everything Obama did restricted the economy from growing and cut into our freedoms, but that was his agenda all along.

The main reason  freedom of the press was added into the first amendment, was to be a watchdog on big government, to try to keep government from becoming corrupt and to make sure our freedoms were not infringed upon by our own government. Well the press has failed miserably at doing its job. A stranger ran for President in 2008, he came out of nowhere, unqualified and inexperienced, his past was full of mystery and the press turned a blind eye. There were a handful of people in the press that raised important issues, but were laughed at, or called racist, because they dared to challenge the lefts liberal golden child; they wanted to elect the first black President no matter what, and what was good for  America did not matter. The press shoveled the shit and the American people swallowed.  Not only did the press help Obama get elected, but they also covered for him throughout his first term and you can bet it will continue.

I had such high hopes for a Romney Presidency, I felt our country was finally going to get back to what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our country, at least a lot closer than we were, but I guess that is not to be. Right now, I feel about America as I would a wild son, I still love him, but I am very disappointed the road he has chosen.

In my book America, A Society Gone Wrong, I stated that I started to notice the change in the country in the 1990’s and it slowly slipped downhill from there. I guess I have to write a sequel to the book and call it, America, A Country That Is No More. I still believe that Liberal views and policies have brought this country down, so far down that I feel with the re-election of Obama, it will soon be unrecognizable, this is definitely not the country I was born into, that country is gone.

I hope that I am wrong, but I do not see the economy getting better in the near future, and I think we are going to have to settle for an America that is so-so, instead of our once great nation, we will most likely go down the same path as Greece, Italy,Spain and the others. Obama’s agenda is to make America another country just like the others, no better no worse, not the great country we once were. I am afraid we will all just have to settle, I think we have passed the point of no return, unfortunately.

Yes, It Can Happen Here

Let’s forget about blame games and about parties for a moment. We American citizens are faced with an incipient tyranny of unimaginable proportions. We must confront this beast openly and honestly if we are to judge how best to contain it and counter it.

There are some who may think this is merely the “paranoid style” of politics gone awry. But for them I say plainly: Yes, it can happen here.

At the present stage of development, what we are witnessing in the United States is a moderate form of fascism. This form of government is characterized by command control of the economy, intense political propaganda, and a police state apparatus that tramples the rights of individuals. Those who believe fascism to be primarily nationalist, racist, and anti-semitic have a conception of the political system as defined by circumstantial manifestations – fascism is an ideology of unity in a party headed by a great leader.

Whether the cleavage the would-be ruler chooses to accentuate or exploit is class, ethnicity, nation, or religion (or some combination of these) – it is a matter of the flavor of a given fascism at hand, not a matter of distinct political ruling principles. The flag sold recently by the Obama campaign (until it was taken down from its website after bloggers caught on to it) bearing the logo of the president displays with vivid colors and powerful symbolism the national reorientation from our traditional ideals towards an aspiring dictator.

The goal of the New Left has been to smash America into pieces and to unify it and reorient it around the party and its carefully constructed frontman. The great leader is the public relations persona, the charming, smiling “face” of the organization. Barack Obama is that frontman.

This is not to say that the aspirations of the magnates attempting to seize control of the United States are circumscribed by national boundaries. Fascism can even theoretically be extrapolated out to the world stage, with nations as the distinct cleavages to be ‘unified’ by a great leader (acting on behalf of a governing body of aspiring oligarchs).

The great leader is usually a classic narcissist. He can be extremely dangerous, especially in the face of public ridicule. He believes himself to be a Hegelian “big man of history” who is ahead of his time and the embodiment of the Zeitgeist. The great leader’s arrogance and narcissism can easily be publicly received as self-confidence, but this is usually a false image. Narcissists can be notoriously sensitive when it comes to criticism.

The great leader usually wields what Max Weber referred to as “charismatic authority.” He is a well-trained liar and manipulator. He may feel himself to be as a canvass upon which the collective paints its desires. This feeling of unity with the masses can feed into egomania and megalomania. Grandiose plans and desires may feel easily within reach. He may perceive himself or herself to be specially anointed by God. There have been great leaders who believed themselves to be gods, or acting in the aegis of God.

Control of the economy in collectivist regimes is carried out in many different ways. Private property may be abolished, but this is very rare; more common is the seizure and re-distribution of quasi-private property by the state. Capital may be abolished, but again this is highly impractical; so many collectivist regimes issue internal currency or industrial credits (similar in concept to “carbon credits”). Regulations may channel business into desired production, may kill small businesses in the interest of larger ones, and can potentially control the economy through a system of prohibitions.

There are a myriad of means to control economies and the most effective is to control the currency through a central bank. Central banks can trigger an economic crisis through overly rapid and massive inflation of the money supply or alternatively, a sudden constriction of the money supply – both can play right into the ruling elites’ hands. The chaos that ensues from a collapse of the currency demands swift and strong government action. Never let a good crisis go to waste, as it has been remarked.

It is inevitable in a command economy that an overly controlling central government unleashes a host of unintended consequences in the economy. A market economy is founded on, and is most sensitive to, the demand of each individual for a desired good or service at any given moment. This type of economy is fundamentally opposed to the drive for control of any collectivist government.

Market economy is not merely a matter of idiosyncracies; but what medical treatment an individual requires, what kind of food he wants to eat, how much, and when, what kind of exercise he needs to do and how much – it is inconceivable that millions of individual, distinct human beings can be programmed to operate in a desired manner by a few hundred politicians in Washington.

But this doesn’t stop the government from trying. As the central government’s best-laid plans inevitably go awry, more and more regulations are passed ostensibly to correct the problems; but since these “laws” are passed with a mind to establishing more government controls, they merely exacerbate any system founded on individual freedom.

The fascist regime is saturated with political propaganda. Politics infiltrates every sphere of life, and privacy seems to dissolve, like salt in a solution. Neighbors may spy on their neighbors, children on their parents, wives on their husbands, and teachers on their students. Speech is highly charged and explosive, leading to convenient calls to have it more regulated, thus cutting off dialogue and leading directly to frustration and violence. Television ads, billboards, newspaper and magazine articles, radio “PSAs” (propaganda service announcements), inundate the citizen with praise and support for the policies of the government and for the great leader.

Last but not least comes the police state. When the masses rise up against their oppressors, by that time it is often too late. If an economy completely collapses, those in the military may find themselves in the position of obeying orders or either starving or putting their loved ones at risk. It is crucially important that America’s last line of defense is loyal to the ideals of freedom and the Constitution itself, and not to any one man or party.

In summary, fascism is the drive to unify the political, economic, social, and private spheres of human existence in the state. The state is necessarily oligarchic and “democratic” control of a state is a ruse used to justify such “unification.” The safest place for power to reside in the nation is in the hands of individuals to the extent concordant with public order.

Those who have supported the Democratic Party for decades need to realize that it is clearly and unabashedly in favor of unlimited government. Those who are working within the Republican Party to check and remove the statists and charlatans within it have their hands full dealing with establishment types, who seem to be engaging in a deadly dance with the Democrats. Two steps forward, one step back, as they say.

Many people think that it cannot happen here, in the “exceptional” United States. But the signs are all around for anyone to take notice of and to compare to totalitarian regimes of the past. The propagandizing of children, the deification of a great leader, the nationalization of industry, the control of the currency, the overwhelming media propaganda, the attempt to create crises that demand swift and strong government action – does this not describe what is taking place in this country now?

America is at a crossroads. The temptation of turning to government to solve all our problems will be great. The price of standing up for liberty will become more costly. But if we continue our complacent abdication of personal responsibility for safeguarding this country for ourselves and our posterity, there will be nowhere to escape. We will be prisoners in our own nation and a shameful people in the judgment of history.

Immigrants, Then And Now, What A Difference

I think many immigrants come here for a better life; many come just to freeload off the American taxpayer. However, I think even the ones that come for a better life expect something free, because let’s face it, the word is out, go to America and you will be given what you need to live, not go to America and you will be given the opportunity to live. A big difference from the time my grandfather came to this country in the 1900’s, those immigrants just came for freedom and a better life, not a handout.

Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people why today’s American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer. Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States , people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented.

Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved goodbye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into
one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.


Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany , Italy , France and Japan … None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the French American, the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only AMERICANS. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country’s flag and waving it to represent who they were.
It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. I’M SORRY! That’s not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900’s deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice
in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.

 I wouldn’t start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

They Vote Against Us, They Kill Us And We Pay Them To Do It.

When do we wake up and say enough is enough? Our tax dollars should not be wasted on ‘aid’ to enemies that are looking to wipe us off the face of the earth. Year after year we send billions upon billions of dollars to countries that don’t give a damn about us, when do we stop? It seems the more money we give these countries the more they disrespect us; it is time to turn off the faucet and keep the money in our country where it is desperately needed.

I said this before and I will say it again, politicians don’t give a crap where they throw our money, because it is not their money, if they need more to throw around they either raise taxes or raid all the supposed lock boxes like social security. Which by the way there would be no shortage in social security if our politicians would stop putting their hands in every time they need money.

I truly believe this is the main reason America has become a laughing stock around the world, other countries just collect our money and turn around and do whatever they want to us, pretty pathetic. Just take a look at the list below and see how many times our so called friends vote against us.

People in Washington say that it is necessary to supply these countries with money to keep the peace, but I say enough is enough. The last time I looked, extortion was against the law. What happened to America? I am talking about the America that would not take crap from anyone, is that America just a memory?

We have a president whose foreign policy consists of ass kissing; I say America does not kiss anyone’s ass. Yes, he killed Bin-Laden but the middle east is in turmoil and he just goes on fund raiser after fund raiser, have fun Mr. president, you don’t have much time left.

A Post-September 11th America

When the planes struck the towers of the World Trade Center, I was getting coffee at the pavilion of The University of Northern Iowa and didn’t realize that the images on the television were real. They seemed like special effects out of some really bad science fiction movie, “The Day After The Day After Tomorrow,” or some such standard Hollywood fare.

Then I noticed the buzz around me as students were murmuring and shuffling around in a state of shock. I asked a stunned redhead what had happened and she pointed to the screen and told me in a hushed voice, “The planes hit the towers.”

Such propelled millions of Americans into the “post-September 11th” world, though I must confess I never followed them. My reverence for the nation as it was before some jihadists with boxcutters turned some airplanes into missiles and took down a few buildings has remained unchanged. The handful of Islamic fundamentalists on those passenger jets killed thousands of my fellow countrymen that day, and for that I will never forget their despicable act, but sorry, I don’t plan on changing the way I see America or what it stands for.

You see, I had been studying terrorism for some time before that dreadful act and particularly, a now-famous organization called al Qaeda. The group, headed by Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri, had declared war against the United States not once, but twice under the Clinton administration and had carried out several coordinated terrorist attacks against American targets. The media’s and the political response were meager, if not meek. Perhaps it was better that way, if only we had went about the grim business of ending the terrorists then and there.

The first memorable attack was the initial World Trade Center bombing, which was covered like it was a crime drama pulled from the show CSI, and not an America-reorienting attack like its follow-up eight years later. The “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman, an Egyptian with ties to al Qaeda’s al Zawahiri, had collaborated in the 1993 bombing. He was eventually imprisoned for life, without the fanfare and spectacle we would expect in the post-September 11th world.

There were the bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, which were page seven stories within days of their being carried out. As Clinton left office, there was the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, which killed seventeen American sailors, and involved the collaboration of al Qaeda in Yemen. A warmed-over speech delivered by President Clinton as he left office sent the message that we would react to terrorism with a whimper and not a bang. Osama bin Laden had reinforcement for the “weak horse” comment that followed upon our military’s struggle with Somalian rebels in the Battle of Mogadishu in 1993.

So as the planes hit the towers on September 11th, I was clearly not nearly in the severe state of shock a lot of others were. The images were disturbing, haunting even, on an emotional level. But in my mind, I knew the attacks were the fruition of a weak, and more importantly, stupid foreign policy.

By that, I mean that I have always been a realist. I don’t believe in going abroad looking for monsters to slay, as John Quincy Adams put it, and I don’t believe in a weak, passive, or appeasing reaction to world events either. There are real, serious enemies of the United States, not simply because of its vast amount of economic and military power, but symbolically, for what it has stood for over two centuries, and namely: individual freedom.

But it has been the latter that has provoked the ire of dictators, radicals, and fundamentalists around the world more than the former. If America were a typical superpower, it would simply annex and formally absorb Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and most of South America and be done with it. That might actually be preferable to the despots of the world who resent and fear a beacon of liberty shining around the world to agitate their oppressed populaces for reforms or even inspire them to revolt. There is no revolution unless people can imagine a better way of life and feel they can act to make things different.

This is why the best thing America could have done after 9/11 is to be quiet, rebuild the towers, and to execute swift and deadly justice against those who actually perpetrated the act and those who assisted them. There was no need to overreact and to build a vast domestic security complex that showed how insecure we were as a superpower, diminished the brightness of our example as a nation and actually made the American people less secure in the long-term.

This point-of-view begs the alternative response. A strategy of military withdrawal from the Middle East, while developing our own vast oil, natural gas, coal, and alternative energy resources, is the obvious plan of action. This creates a power vacuum and the removal of a symbolic target that has brought together otherwise competitive terrorist groups and has salved fierce sectarian differences, namely between the Shi’ite and the various Sunni.

If anything, during the course of my studies of international relations at the undergraduate and doctoral level, I had learned the value of realism, both classical and neorealist. From Thucydides’ The History of the Peloponnesian War, a classic text I devoted an entire class to studying in grad school, or the neorealist Stephen Walt’s “balance of fear,” I appreciated that man has an aggressive side to his nature and that states in an “anarchic” world tend to balance against one another. Those states that do not help themselves tend to become vulnerable over time.

This is truly the conservative view of things: there are some things about human nature that can be learned and we can build upon that knowledge to make a better world; and namely, by protecting individuals against oppression, and not by trying to build some monolithic world society of altruistic people, who are not valued in and of themselves but for what they can do for their communities (read, the political oligarchy).

But conservatives have been divided in the post-September 11th world by two instincts: the one, the psychological need to face down and defeat evil, which is a natural and healthy instinct; and the other, the recognition that evil exists, will always exist, and should be allowed to exist in places of the world that do not concern us, in accordance with our view on free will. If people want to change their societies for the better, they could always look upon the United States as a shining light and choose the American way. Our responsibility would be for ourselves and doing the right thing as much as possible. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

So by allowing evil regimes to exist in the Middle East and removing ourselves from the territory, while quietly going about our business as a free, prosperous, and powerful nation, which neither appeases dictators nor seeks trouble, we could remain aloof from the petty barbaric squabbles that haunt unenlightened societies. The savage peoples of the world would be drawn to lash out; and yes, there would still be anti-modernist and anti-Western fundamentalists who would seek to attack America for symbolic reasons. Again, a realist is not a utopian and seeks to manage the risks and dangers of the world, not eradicate them.

Thus, we would be safer with nuclear-armed states concerned with one another, instead of the United States; such as with Pakistan and India. Additionally, pitting Iraq against Iran is bloody, Machiavellian politics, but is it better than perhaps fighting them both? We have to assume that states are rational actors, as in the case of Iran, while we prepare to retaliate for the unexpected or to preempt the clearly imminent strike.

When the states of the Middle East are divided, they might even turn to the United States; whether it be for the oil trade, in order to finance their regimes.

Instead, we have embarked upon a course of internal strengthening of the state and military adventurism abroad. It would be one thing to bring the terrorists who were harbored in Afghanistan to justice, but we have set upon a course of doing what the Romans, British, and Russians failed to do: to conquer and civilize the Afghani, who live at the crossroads of the world. We occupied Iraq and have turned over the government to the Iraqi people; mind you, a noble act and one for which our troops should be commended, but there is no guarantee of what the future brings there.

This is not to mention our blatantly unconstitutional military intervention in Libya, our meddling in Egypt, and our general fueling of a radical pan-Islamic movement in the Middle East under the guise of bringing “democracy” there. Hamas was democratically elected and it is a bloody and terroristic organization. Democracy is merely a form of government and should not be something in and of itself to promote, let alone by force. What America should promote is individual rights, free market capitalism so people can lift themselves out of poverty, and social and religious freedoms.

Short of that, we are kicking hornet nests around the world, selling people empty promises that “democracy” will make their lives better, spending trillions we don’t have, costing our military and our families thousands of lives, and diminishing liberty at home. That doesn’t sound like a post-September 11th world that this American can get behind.

Fly the flag high and don’t forget what it really stands for.

Would We Be Better Off Renouncing Our Citizenship?

Over the past few years, I have found myself getting more frustrated with what is going on in this country. Every time I pick-up the newspaper I find myself saying “what the hell is going on in this country.” It seems to me that non-citizens, illegal aliens are getting more from this country than the citizens of this country do.  What kind of country do we live in, where people who do not belong here, are better taken care of than the people who are here legally?

Just look around the country, how many states offer illegal aliens discounted college tuition, or sometimes free tuition, while citizens of this country pay thousands more?

If an illegal alien is caught driving without a license, they are let free, while citizens are taken to jail and fined.

An illegal alien applying for welfare and food stamps does not have to supply documentation, just go in and say they are here illegally and they are automatically eligible. While if a citizen goes in for the same benefits they have to supply their life’s history.

Just take a look at how much illegal aliens are costing the taxpayers of this country. It’s easy to dismiss individual programs that Benefit non-citizens until they’re put together and this picture emerges. Often these programs are buried within other Programs making them difficult to find.

1.$11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.

2. $22 Billion dollars a year is spent on food Assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.

4. $12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here  illegally and they  cannot speak a word of English!

5.$17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.

6 .$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.

7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.

8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayer.

9. The illegal aliens cause $200 Billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages.

10. Illegal aliens send home $45 BILLION in remittances to their countries of origin.


Something is wrong, this country has fallen off the tracks somewhere along the line, and it seems our whole society has turned upside down. Washington does not have the stomach for the job, even though it is a simple problem to solve. All they have to do is stop all the freebies, if you are here illegally you get nothing and I mean nothing. Not only will people stop sneaking in to this country once the freebies are gone, but also the ones that are already here, will be running out in record numbers.

What I find ironic, is that Mexico’s immigration laws are stricter then our own, yet the Mexican government complains that our laws are unfair;            Here are a few examples of Mexican law.

Immigrants are:

§ in the country legally;

§ have the means to sustain themselves economically;

§ not destined to be burdens on society;

§ of economic and social benefit to society;

§ of good character and have no criminal records;

§ contributors to the general well-being of the nation;

§ immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

§ foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;

§ foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the countries internal politics;

§ foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;

§ foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;

§ those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

And that’s not all, the Mexican authorities are allowed to ask for documentation to prove someone is in the country legally.

Now you see why I say that something is wrong with this country.

America Needs the Tea Party More Than America Needs the GOP

Explaining his endorsement of the current White House occupant on the administration’s infrastructure spending, healthcare reform, and position on abortion, Florida’s former Republican Governor Charlie Crist endorsed him on the eve of the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa.

Crist has betrayed American taxpayers before.  He supported the $787 billion “stimulus” boondoggle, which did little to fund shovel ready infrastructure projects but went a long way towards rewarding big “progressive” 2008 presidential campaign bundlers who “just happened” to run “green energy” companies with lucrative loan guarantees and grants.  It also bailed out state and local governments guilty of practicing irresponsible fiscal policies for decades, especially where spending on government sector union contracts was concerned.  It was no accident that the lion’s share of “stimulus” spending “just happened” to have gone to “blue states”.   Crist’s decision to support the highly partisan, pork stuffed “stimulus” bill helped get the monstrous waste of money through Congress.

“Moderate Republican” go-along to get-along me-first career politicians who, like Crist are so willing to compromise with the institutionalized “progressive” left cannot be trusted.

Tea Party principles are America’s principles.  To an intolerable degree, “Moderate Republicans” do not believe in or follow Tea Party principles. Quite often they appear to be completely devoid of principles.  They game the political system to gain power and prestige for themselves and themselves alone. They will turn on Americans faster than you can say Specter.

Conservative Tea Party Americans like Allen West, Marco Rubio, Jim DeMint, Pat Toomy, Rand Paul, Ron Johnson Michele Bachmann, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee have the guts to stand against the institutionalized “progressive” left.  They have the willingness, backbone and fortitude to preserve individual liberties, restore the U.S. Constitution, and a return to constitutionally limited government, a balanced budget, equal opportunity and equal protection under the law for all Americans.

Today’s Democratic Party is not your father’s Democratic Party.  They keep insisting that Tea Party Republicans and their affiliates are “extreme”.  Since when are protecting individual liberties, following the U.S. Constitution, having constitutionally limited government and a balanced budget extreme?

The Tea Party’s positions are extreme only when seen as standing in the way of establishing an all-powerful, centrally planned big government controlled by a self-appointed oligarchy of self-imagined “intellectual elites” i.e. a Communist state.

The institutionalized “progressive” left in 2012 America is acting exactly like every other Communist power grab in history.  They lie, cheat and steal to win elections.  Then they will lie, cheat, steal and kill to consolidate and strengthen their grip on unrestrained power.

The institutionalized “progressive” left complains about how “extreme” Tea Party Republicans refuse to compromise.  The Tea Party knows that Communists have no interest in compromising with anyone.  The institutionalized “progressive” left’s negotiating position has been, is, and will continue to be: What’s Yours is Negotiable, What’s Mine is Not.  Those who hold this negotiating position, when they do finally obtain an iron grip on unrestrained power, do not compromise with their political opposition.  They eliminate them…permanently.

America is at an historic crossroads.  The 2012 election will determine what life in America will be like for the next and following generations.

In the words of Ronald W. Reagan, 40th President of the United States of America:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”


The Government Owns Us

We pay taxes on property. We pay them on income. We pay them on sales. We pay them to live. We pay them when we die. Let’s face it – the government owns us.

What the people of the United States have is not a government of, by, or for the people. Ronald Reagan’s dictum — “We are a nation that has a government not the other way around” — has been placed on its head by condescending elites who know neither self-restraint nor common decency.

Government, whose production consists of coercive regulations, unnecessary wars, exorbitant taxes, and absurd inefficiency, exists for the benefit of those in power and at our expense. Its machinery is given life by capital, which represents our blood and sweat. It is driven by power and lubricated by greed.

The government is clearly its own interest as is any for-profit corporation.  Yet a corporation must create and produce desirable goods and services in order to remain in business. The government has no such constraints. It has guns and fiat money to forcibly sustain its unwanted operations.

This nature of government was not lost on those who founded this nation. Precautions were taken to forestall the government’s transformation into a weapon to be wielded for the benefit of an exclusive political elite.

But a government is ultimately made up of self-interested men, who may narrowly pursue personal power at the long-term expense of the conditions that provide them such power. This is the root cause of the rise and decline of civilizations. Self-interest, when unguided by reason, is corrupted.

What is government? At its best, it is a resource that promotes the conditions that allow men to freely lead their lives – to create, to produce, to trade the fruit of their labor in kind facilitated by capital. The conditions of a free people are entirely encapsulated by the security of persons and property.

At its worst, government is a tool of men to force people to do or not do particular actions. The more particular the law, the more liable it is to be the instrument of particular interest. Over time, corrupt politicians tend to enact laws that benefit their personal interest, and to suppress behavior that threatens such interest.

The laws proliferate as the government becomes more corrupt. It has been estimated that there are now over two million laws in the United States. It is such a time, to paraphrase Ayn Rand, that it is impossible for a good man to live without being a criminal. As Frederic Bastiat observed:

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim – when he defends himself – as a criminal.

If government is a tool of men, then which men are most fit to rule? This is the question on which the fate of a people rests. Only the elites and their dependents believe that the answer is an aristocracy. The great majority of the American people believe the answer is the people, in other words, a democracy. These are wrong answers. Self-government, or government of the individual, is the most superior form of government. But this is also the most precarious form and the most difficult to maintain, as it requires reason, morality, and self-sufficiency. Unsurprisingly, these qualities are enemies of the corrupt government.

The symbiotic relationship that perverts a society arises when the people’s capacity for self-government deteriorates as politicians abuse the law to paternalistically accrue power and glory. The capacity for a system of laws to be sustained is undermined, and eventually the entire rotting edifice of the structure collapses.

Crisis provides social engineers the license to complete their reconstruction of society to their own benefit; and indeed, one finds that the authoritarian kernel of the transformative state had been embedded in the society generations before, like an acorn that grows ever-so-slowly into a mighty oak, and whose branches are clipped to form the fasces of despotic power for a tyrant.

A complete despotism is rarely, if ever, imposed against the will of a people. The sad fact of history is that authoritarian governments arise when people are prepared by the government to desire subjugation and are driven by necessity to beg for sustenance at the feet of their masters.

The hallmark of a government that is undermining the capacity of a people for self-government is the altruistic claim that the people must be saved from themselves. Such a government, through taxation and welfare, remedies victimhood by creating more victims. By siding with the failures of the society over those who succeed on their own, the government incentivizes and multiplies failure.

A great civilization filled with great men is thus overtaken by those of the mob, who have surrendered their lives to the state. Those whose lives are empty are filled up by those whose lives are overflowing until the life-blood of a society is drained. A free people is corrupted from within and then enslaved.

It may be said in Biblical terms that the devil does not destroy, he desecrates. Lucifer takes that which is beautiful and puts it in the service of evil. Just as the devil has no capacity for creation, those who seek to undermine our nation are not destroyers, they are corrupters. If shot through that prism, only the light of truth can vanquish them. And only morality, reason, and adherence to principle can sustain us.

Olympic Invasion

Yahoo, that staunch defender of all things “progressive”, jumped on the media bandwagon in gushing over Malaysia’s Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi making the trip to London to compete in the Olympics.  They fawned all over the feel good story about how just one month before she is due to give birth to a baby she is scheduled to compete in the 10m rifle event.  The 29-year-old is not the first pregnant Olympian, but is believed to be the farthest along in history.

This shows the utter stupidity of European countries that are so welcoming of people who want to destroy Europe, European culture and the last vestiges of European Christianity.  As in: muslims.


Who cares if she is pregnant and in the OIympics?  Within the bigger picture, that is so trivial it is ridiculous. This is a taquiyya based PR move on the part of muslims and their “progressive” western co-conspirators.

Thanks to the suppression of women in muslim countries where sharia law is enforced, women are not allowed out of the house without being accompanied by male relatives…or to drive, much less allowed to shoot a gun.

Most muslim countries are still sickeningly misogynistic.

Should Tabili decide to stay in London after the Olympics she would be just another pregnant muslim woman helping to overthrow another European country by outbreeding “politically correct” natives who themselves refuse to reproduce because doing so would lead to overpopulation and “harm mother earth”.  In a couple of decades muslims will complete their centuries old quest to conquer Europe.

This is exactly the same type of “progressive” multicultural diversity politically correct “tolerance” gobbledygook nonsense that led the American Ft. Hood shooting incident to be officially classified as “workplace violence” and to unwarranted attacks on Michele Bachmann and other Congressional Reps who courageously called for an investigation into the infiltration of America’s government by elements sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood.

When it comes to “political correctness”, “progressive” Americans are not far behind Europe.  If you ask a typical college grad who has recently been released from the indoctrination camps known as American college campuses, they are oblivious to the fact that over the years, communist regimes have killed 100 million of their own people.  If you ask them what country is the greatest force for evil in the world, they will tell you it is the United States.  These are the same brain dead “progressive” lemming useful idiots that will give you the kneejerk, propaganda based response that islam is “a religion of peace”.

That is “a religion of peace”?

Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi’s winning a gold medal then using her triumph to rub it in the faces of her culture’s misogynistic pigs would be an achievement worthy of universal acclaim.
