Two weeks ago we saw the US House of Representatives pass a bi-partisan Repeal of Obamacare, as per the demands of the voting public in the 2010 mid-term elections. Immediately the spin began on how the repeal of the new H/C law would never pass the US Senate, from the Whitehouse, to Harry Reid, to the mainstream media, we were told this is a waste of time. Since when is respecting the wishes of the people not a part of Democracy in America? As more facts come out about Obamacare we see more people demanding the repeal of The President’s vaunted Socialized Medicine. We see a total of 733 waivers being signed because this bill will hurt businesses and assorted groups of healthcare providers. I explained this in an earlier article here at CDN.*
Well today we shall see exactly which Senators respect the people’s wishes, and want to keep their jobs in 2012, and which ones need to be fired for being self-serving Tyrants against the people they were elected to serve. This will be done today, by Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans forcing the repeal vote by adding it to the FAA reauthorization Bill. A total of 26 Democratic Senators are up for reelection in 2012. Anyone who thinks they aren’t looking over their shoulder and thinking about keeping their jobs in 2012 when this vote hits the floor is in for a serious reality check. The people have spoken and it’s about time they are listened to on this boondoogle that would allow a government takeover of 1/6th of the U S economy, not to mention the destruction of the best healthcare system in the world. The writing is on the wall and Mr. McConnell explained it nicely in an article over at The Hill: **
“In a statement, McConnell said the repeal vote gives Democrats a chance to “reevaluate” their support for the controversial healthcare law, which a federal judge in Florida struck down as unconstitutional on Monday.”
“For all those who supported the health law, it’s an opportunity to re-evaluate your vote. To listen to your constituents who are desperately trying to get your attention. You can say, ‘Perhaps this was a mistake. We can do this better.’ Or you can continue to dismiss the majority of the people in this country as not knowing what they’re talking about.”
Thank you Mr. McConnell, I couldn’t have said it any better. Here is another simple observation for the media pundits and propagandists who say Obama will just veto this bill if it hits his desk. Go ahead Mr. President, pull out that Leftist Veto Pen against the American people, as you too are up for reelection in 2012.
