Terrible Precedent

The Colorado Supreme Court obviously got this one wrong and the US Supreme Court should fix it shortly after the New Year (January 4th, I believe).

But, the bigger problem with the decision is that the judiciary now believes it can decide who should or should not be allowed to run for president. Donald Trump has not been convicted of insurrection so deciding to remove him from the ballot due to an offense that has not happened is political – not judicial.

If this legal finding were to stand, it could affect candidates on both sides for the foreseeable future and allow the judiciary to take power it was never granted.
