Retired Terrorist: Greatest Threat To BDS Is Calling Us Terrorists

https://dailycaller.com/

Salah Khawaja, a retired terrorist and member of The Boycott, Divestment, Sanction (BDS) Movement, said Tuesday that calling BDS members terrorists is their greatest threat.

According to a video released by Muslim Brotherhood and Radical Islam in America, Khawaja is considered “one of the most high-profile ‘non-violent’ activists in the region” and has spent over a quarter of his life in and out of Israeli prison, beginning at age 15. He chairs the Popular Struggle Committee of Ni’ln, is a member of BNC and BDS, and works in the Committee Against the Wall.

BDS describes itself as a “Palestinian-led movement for freedom, justice and equality” that “upholds the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity.”

However, a recent report released by the Israel Ministry of Strategic Affairs has highlighted the relationship between BDS and terrorist organizations, and has caused many to consider BDS a terrorist group itself. Khawja references this report in an interview, and confesses that calling BDS members “Terrorists in Suits” endangers their movement.

“The most dangerous thing in politics being done against us now,” Khawaja said, “is…when he mentioned us and at least 24 local and international people and called us “Terrorists in Suits,” he is describing the boycott leaders. ‘

The report released by the Israel Ministry of Strategic Affairs, entitled, “The Ties Between NGOs promoting BDS and Terrorist Organizations,” builds on a previous report and describes connections between non-governmental organizations that support BDS and terrorist organizations.

The report found more than 100 links between BDS and the groups Hamas and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Both Hamas and PFLP were declared terrorist organizations by the United States in 1997.

According to The Jerusalem Post, “More than 30 members of Hamas and PFLP hold senior positions in BDS-promoting NGOs, the vast majority of whom have been in prison for terrorism-related crimes, including murder, and maintain active ties with the terrorist groups.”
