Best Food Delivery in Birmingham

Birmingham is the largest city in the state of Alabama in terms of population, and while it’s largely known as an industrial city, the home of some of the University of Alabama’s satellite campuses, and the location of the Southeastern Conference’s (SEC) offices, it’s also a great place to grab a bite to eat.

Oh, and you don’t need to get dressed and drive anywhere to grab your food. There are tons of options that are a phone call or a web order away.

Let’s dive in and see what kind of grub is available in and around Birmingham.

1. Post Office Pies

If you’re craving a pizza but want to go beyond the same-old, same-old, than Post Office Pies is probably the place for you.

Offering nine-inch and 12-inch pizza pies, you can choose from cheese, pepperoni, sausage, Chicken Pesto Pizza, The White Pizza (roasted garlic spread, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil), or supreme, or you can simply build your own pie.

Appetizers to pick from are garlic cheese bread, jalapeno cheese bread, and pepperoni chunk cheese bread.

2. Wasabi Juan’s

Wasabi Juan’s includes an intriguing mix of Tex-Mex and sushi.

Grab a Ceviche Taco, with lime-marinated shrimp, avocado, and cilantro, or the Avondale Taco that includes spicy tuna, mango slaw, and jalapenos. There are others to choose from, too, with proteins ranging from spicy crab to grilled steak.

In terms of raw burritos, you can select from a variety of tuna and salmon selections, or choose to have similar options cooked, instead.

3. Tropicaleo Puerto Rican Kitchen

If Puerto Rican cuisine is your thing, then you simply aren’t going to do any better in the Birmingham area than Tropicaleo Puerto Rican Kitchen.

Entrees include the delectable Cuban Sandwich and the Tripleta Sandwich, which includes three meats: chicken breast, pulled pork, and pulled beef steak. There are also cheesesteaks and vegan sandwiches to choose from.

There are tons of appetizers, or “small plates”, to choose from, too. Bruschetta, empanadas, plantain chips, and more can all be had for a reasonable charge.

4. The Southern Kitchen & Bar

If southern comfort food is what you’re searching for — and let’s be honest, all of our hearts desire such comfort — than The Southern Kitchen & Bar will absolutely fit the bill.

Hearty starters include Fayetteville Fried Okra, Southern Fried Pickles, and Fried Green Tomatoes, among other things. The entrees are plentiful, with succulent Ribeye Mac & Cheese topping the list for many that simply want that filling southern comfort. There are tons of other items to choose from, including a variety of steak entrees and delicious burgers and chicken sandwiches.

5. The Filling Station

If you aren’t filled up by the time you’re done with The Filling Station, than I’m not sure how to help you.

Still more filling southern comfort food can be had here (remember, it’s Alabama), from chicken wings to giant baked meatballs to ravioli and nachos. There are plenty of Italian sandwiches to choose from, as well as a dozen varieties of pizzas.

You can always build your own pizza, of course, or settle on one of the various salad options available.

If you’re visiting Birmingham or if you live there but simply haven’t explored the market when it comes to food that can be delivered, then this list should give you about a week’s worth of options.
