House Oversight Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said Tuesday that the ongoing Trump-Russia collusion investigation has not found a single witness with proof of any collusion between President Trump and Russia during the 2016 campaign.
Gowdy told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum that the House investigation into alleged collusion between Donald Trump and Russian has so far produced no witnesses that can back Hillary Clinton and Democrats’ claims that Trump and Russia worked together to defeat her in 2016.
“I’m gonna’ be real careful not to do what I think the Department of Justice did which is to draw a conclusion before the end of the investigation,” Gowdy said. “To date, there has not been a single witness who has provided a single piece of evidence supporting collusion, coordination or conspiracy but we are not through with the investigation.”
Gowdy’s pronouncement came during an interview with MacCallum where he detailed his committee’s investigation into the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
Two Congressional committees are now also looking into Hillary’s involvement with the Uranium One sale.
