Report: Dallas Cowboys Will Stand with Hands Over Hearts for National Anthem

It may be that the anti-Trump fever has broken now that the NFL has been confronted with massive anger from fans after last weekend’s mass national anthem protests.

The Dallas Cowboys aka America’s Team were booed on Monday night when owner Jerry Jones joined the players to kneel in protest before the national anthem but stood with arms-intertwined during the actual playing of the Star-Spangled Banner.

The league is reeling over a monumental strategic blunder by Commissioner Roger Goodell that blew up in his face and the “unity” public relations campaign seems to be D.O.A. following Green Bay Packers star quarterback and Goodell bootlicker Aaron Rodgers’ call for fans in the stands to link arms during Thursday night’s tame.

Most didn’t.

Now it looks as if the Cowboys will be blazing the trail back to normality, at least if wide receiver Dez Bryant is to be believed. He claims that after much dispute, that the team will assume the traditional standing, hand over heart position during the playing of the national anthem during Sunday’s game home game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Dallas Cowboys will go back to their previous stance on the national anthem Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams, receiver Dez Bryant said.

The team will stand with their hands over their heart for the anthem. There will be no pre-anthem kneel for unity as they did last Monday against the Arizona Cardinals.

That show of solidarity was about joining the brethren across the league in responding to the expletive-filled attacks from President Donald Trump against the players who kneeled during the anthem in protest against racism and social injustice.

“We’re going to stand, we’re going to stand and going to put our hand over our heart and we’re going to do what we did before,” Bryant said. “You all know what that was, that was just a response to Trump and that’s all that that was.”

By admitting that last week’s protests were all about black anger that Barack Obama was prohibited from a third term by the U.S. Constitution only serves to confirm the suspicions of fans who never bought into the phony social justice warrior crap peddled by charlatans Colin Kaepernick and his more articulate but truth-challenged mouthpiece Michael Bennett.

The Cowboys can set a good example by going back to normal but the problem is that thanks to Goodell, things have forever changed and no amount of media shills or high paid public relations firms are going to be able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Not only have the NFL and Cowboys pissed off millions of Americans who are revolting over privileged black multimillionaire militants practically wiping their asses with the flag but Bryant’s comments will surely inflame the malcontents who will accuse him of being an Uncle Tom.

It seems like the only “Unity” that Roger Goodell may achieve is in pissing EVERYBODY off.

Despite Dallas’ intention to kiss and make up with fans, the league may very well have crossed the Rubicon last weekend when it chose sides in the war on President Trump by those who refuse to accept the concept of democratic elections.

Too little too late.
