Kaepernick Girlfriend’s Racist Tweet May Have Cost Him Shot at NFL Job
Not that Colin Kaepernick needs any help when it comes to being a controversial figure but his legions of cult-like devotees and their constant harping about racism, boycotts and blackballing by the NFL are the unemployed quarterbacks worst enemies.
There is a good reason why the former San Francisco 49er remains jobless and a lot of it can be laid at the feet of those who have been screaming racism while conveniently ignoring his offensive conduct in order to drive their own agendas and feed the ego of the purported race messiah.
One of them may even be sleeping in his bed.
Last month it was looking like the Baltimore Ravens were going to take the plunge by offering him a contract and even had former all-pro linebacker and team icon Ray Lewis advocating for him.
But interest quickly cooled off after his extremist radio personality girlfriend Nessa Diab let loose with an extremely offensive racist tweet portraying Lewis and Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti to characters in Quentin Tarantino’s blood-soaked spaghetti western “Django Unchained” of a plantation owner and the top house Negro.

Now, according to Lewis, it was Ms. Diab’s tweet that convinced Ravens ownership that Kaepernick was about as cuddly as a snake and as toxic as the Ebola virus. Lewis made the comment during an episode of Showtime’s “Inside the NFL” set to air this week.

According to the Baltimore Sun “Ray Lewis: Ravens were ready to sign Colin Kaepernick until ‘racist gesture’ by girlfriend”:
An unflattering tweet from the girlfriend of Colin Kaepernick was behind the Ravens’ decision to not sign the controversial free-agent quarterback, Ray Lewis said Tuesday night on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL.”
The Aug. 2 post by radio host Nessa Diab compared Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti and Lewis, a longtime face of the franchise, to characters from “Django Unchained”: Leonardo DiCaprio’s cruel plantation owner and Samuel L. Jackson’s loyal house slave, respectively.
Lewis, who the day before Diab’s tweet had posted a video to Twitter in which he urged Kaepernick to “Get back on the football field and let your play speak for itself,” said Bisciotti and the Ravens were discussing giving the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback “an opportunity.” At the time, with starter Joe Flacco injured, the team’s quarterback play in training camp was lacking.
“I have been fighting for this kid behind the table like nobody has,” Lewis said on “Inside the NFL.” “I’ve never been against Colin Kaepernick. But I am against the way he’s done it.
“Then, his girl [Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend] goes out and put out this racist gesture and doesn’t know we are in the back office about to try to get this guy signed. Steve Bisciotti has said it himself, ‘How can you crucify Ray Lewis when Ray Lewis is the one calling for Colin Kaepernick?’
“When they [the Ravens] called me, it was to say, ‘Yes,’ or, ‘No.’ … We were going to close the deal to sign him. … Steve Bisciotti said, ‘I want to hear Colin Kaeperkick speak to let me know that he wants to play football.’ … And it never happens because that picture comes up the next day.”
One has to speculate whether Kaepernick’s turn towards radicalism was due to the influence of Diab who he reportedly began dating before he began dissing the flag, spewing hatred towards cops, praising Fidel Castro and sending out racist tweets of his own.
The woman must really ring his chimes for him to just trash his NFL career like that.
If what Lewis is saying is true then Kaepernick will never play another game in the NFL again until he dumps the bitch, lays low and embarks upon an apology tour to clean up his image.
The Ravens must have really been insulted because they are going to start the season with an injury prone Joe Flacco and a couple of schmucks as backups.
No matter the propaganda, what a person, a couple or a group of people are labeled and vilified by a member of another race, it is racism.
I grew up in the 60’s, entered the army in the 70’s, graduated from college in the 80’s and had my kids leave home in the 90’s.
Thru out that time, I saw repeated racism, directed from asians of all types, europeans of all types, American blacks of almost all financial and educational levels, arabs of all types, and I would invite any caucasians to live and work in sub-saharan Africa.
Assuming that you can judge behavior, motives and the emotions of any given race is blatant racism. It has little to do with self perceived power. That to is just another example of racism.
Mr. Kaepernick was raised in a middle class home, by a mother and father. He was a gifted athlete, and as such, received early accolades and advancements not available to all.
At some point, after being paid literally millions of dollars a year for playing a child’s game, he makes a decision that he suffers from ‘oppression.’
For months America was exposed to a MAN, not a child, act like a fool.
Actions have consequences, even for the gifted and talented.
His actions were political to the extreme. His friends seem to be chosen for their anti-American belief structures.
Mr. Kaepernick had his chance at the gold ring. He chose to spit on it and in doing so accomplished what?
He is not an American certainly. he is also a racist. That later point should and must exclude him from ever representing America in any real terms. We, as Americans, do not reward professional victims.
