Golden State Warriors Go Up 3-0 in NBA Finals

The Golden State Warriors are on the verge of making history if they can close out what has been a lopsided series on Friday night.

The potent Warriors have roared through the NBA playoffs winning a stunning fifteen straight games – many in decisive fashion – and can seal the deal tomorrow night.

Following Wednesday night’s 118-113 win over the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers, the team can both win the title as well as make their mark as the first unbeaten playoff team in league history. Not even the great Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls were able to accomplish such a feat.

The Warriors prevailed despite a huge game from Cavs superstar LeBron James who had 39 points and 11 rebounds.  Cleveland guard Kyrie Irving added 38 points but was a miserable 0-7 from three-point range.

It was a much better showing for the Cavaliers who were blown out in the first two games of the series and may well have prevailed if they could have held off a late charge by the Warriors who scored the game’s last 11 points.

Golden State was led by three players with double figures – Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.

Game four will take place at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena at 9 PM on Friday.
