The other night my wife and I were watching the new version of The Magnificent Seven on DVD after seeing it in the theaters too. My wife is a super fan of the original version featuring Steve McQueen, James Coburn and Yul Brenner while I favor the newer one with Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt.
The story centers around a ruthless land baron named Bartholomew Bogue who has complete control over the people and land and has them turn everything over to him. The people are tired of this and hire seven outsiders to rid the town of Bogue and his henchmen which after a terrifying action packed and bloody battle they eventually do defeat Bogue and return the land to the people.
As I was watching this it suddenly dawned on me and this may be a stretch, but it is my opinion only, that this is what is currently happening. Bogue represents the media and current establishment politicians who collude with controlling the people with heavy taxes and regulations and biased reporting for their own power. The people are tired of this and hired an outsider Donald Trump, a powerful, benevolent man who does not need the power or glory because he already has it but sees the country in sad shape and wants to do something about it and give it back to the people.
Trump is putting up a brave battle and is the people’s warrior against the establishment controlling media and politicians. He made promises and is delivering on those promises unlike past presidents and politicians. So far he has delivered on the following:
*Getting rid of regulations and freeing up companies to hire again-check!
*appropriating funds for the Dakota and Keystone pipeline-check !
*Appropriating funds to build up our badly depleted military-check!
*Combating the media and reaching the people on a daily basis through his twitter account-Check!
* Meeting with world leaders quickly and making deals with them for a lasting peace faster than any previous president-check!
* Getting rid of and repealing Obamacare-still working on it with congress , but -check!
*Putting a hiring freeze on federal workers-check!
*Ordering construction of the border wall-check!
*Putting Out An Executive Order Asking The DOJ And Homeland Security to Withhold “Federal Funds, Except As Mandated By Law” From Sanctuary Cities: –check!
*Nominating Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court-Check!
*Killing the Trans Pacific Partnership Trade Deal known as TPP-Check!
All this within two months of his presidency and at lightning speed too. He faces the media and pushes back not caring what they say and puts the elite media in its’ place. You push him and he pushes back and doesn’t take it which is what his base likes. This is what the people who hired him want and he is not letting them down just like the Magnificent Seven did not let the people down and sacrificed themselves for it in the end.
Yes Trump is saving the people from the ruthless elite politicians and media control over them and their blind supporters who say they are the resistance. But what are they resisting? A safer America, lower taxes and smaller government? He gave up a lot to run the country and give it back to the people. These protesting ingrates do not see it and don’t deserve what he is doing for them. I wonder how many of these protestors would take an illegal or two or three in to live with them ? I bet not many. They love comparing Trump to Hitler as they did Bush. Do they even know who Hitler was and what he did? I don’t think so. When I see these interviews on the street I highly doubt it.
