ISIS’ media outlet, Amaq, said Sunday that the stabbing attack at Crossroads mall in Minnesota was carried out by an ISIS soldier.
“The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition,” Amaq said in a statement.
Eight people were injured in the attack on Saturday when a man in a security uniform began stabbing mall visitors.

The attack came to an end when an off-duty police officer shot and killed the attacker.
Unconfirmed reports have said that the attacker asked at least one person if they were muslim and that he made references to Allah during the attack.
All but one of the victims has been treated and released from local hospitals.
