Japan has seen two dangerous earthquakes this week resulting in severe damage, many people trapped in collapsed buildings and at least 41 have died death.
Buildings were swaying and cracking
The video below shows people in a parking lot after the main quake hit, but does capture an aftershock.
A journalist in a building over 500 miles from the epicenter, said ” the building started shaking. It was swaying quite strongly for over a minute. … Buildings were swaying and cracking.”
Geologists had predicted that the smaller 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Thursday was likely a foreshock and early Saturday morning proved them right when a 7.1 magnitude quake struck leaving this damage in its wake.
Rescuers are rushing to help at least 23 people believed to be buried under collapsed structures while at least one person has died from the quakes.
