Republican Smackdown Pt. 2-Reviewing the Commenters
There is an old story my mother used to read to me when I was a little kid about six blind men who never saw an elephant and went to experience one for the first time. One touches the tail and says the elephant is very like a rope.
Another touches the tusk and says the elephant is very much like a spear.
The next one touches the elephant’s side and says the elephant is like a wall.
Another one takes the elephant’s trunk and says the elephant is very like a snake.
The next one feels the elephant’s ear and says the elephant is like a fan and the last one feels the elephant’s leg and says the elephant is very like a tree.
The story ends by saying each was in the right yet all were in the wrong. So it was with all the various commentators reviewing the republican debate the next day.
I heard radio commentators, TV commentators and read tons of online comments and everyone had a different perspective and opinion. The one thing they could agree on was that Carly Fiorina won the first debate hands down and she was clear, firm and direct in her position on various situations.
I thought the three moderators were all in it for themselves and their own egos as this was the biggest audience ever for a debate, bigger than ever before and consequently they came across as agitators out to get Trump and created circus like atmosphere. I think the media wants a candidate they can control and they know they can’t control Trump which is what this country needs now so they want him out.
Comments were wide and diverse. Some saying Trump was the best, some saying he was at the bottom, others saying Christie was good and others put him down and on it went all day and night online and on TV and radio. Radio talk show host Mark Simone mentioned that nobody commented about Bush because he was so boring. Mark mentioned that if Bill Cosby had Bush’s personality he wouldn’t have to give those women drugs, he could just talk them to sleep. 😀
So like the blind men and the elephant, each was in the right yet all were in the wrong with nobody In agreement with one another. Everyone saw the debate differently.
Here are a few interesting comments I found that I agree with:

Fox New is usually always fair and balanced. Megan Kelly is also one of the best on the Fox team. Don’t know what happened at the debates first question but Megan Kelly lowered herself with that question. Mike Wallace also made an *** of himself with the bankruptcy question. He did not know the difference between personal and business bankruptcy, obviously got his job based on connections only, no smarts.

It was obvious Fox was “gunning” for Trump. Trump to his credit reminded us like Ronald Reagan did .. that the media NOR Fox news can be trusted. In spite of GOP and Fox saying Trump was down … Trump polls today show Trump didn’t fall by even one point.
All the RINO’s are shaking in their boots. Which is EXACTLY what conservative Americans want!
Honestly I think Ted Cruz would actually be first choice but Trump better demonstrates the level of anger and betrayal conservatives feel towards the GOP! Both Fox and GOP underestimate the level of how absolutely fed up we are of “political correctness”. I think that alone all by itself wins points for Trump because he doesn’t try to be politically correct.
GOP WE ARE SICK OF YOUR RINO WAYS … WRITE THAT DOWN!

Further, to me Megyn Kelly’s performance last night was disgraceful; it was clear from the outset that her primary mission was to go after Trump. I’ve stopped watching Kelly’s nightly prime-time show on FNC. She seems to feed on her “stardom” and I note that her new hairdo with the left-side (screen right on TV)ponytail hanging down is a total turn off, at least to me. She seems to spend most of her time either yukking it up and laughing at stuff that really isn’t funny or playing “lawyer”….while selling her “sexy” image on-screen. What we need is more gritty & honest reporting (which Kelly once upon a time did & was before FNC’s management & viewers made her “a prime-time star”. Now, she appears to be an establishment attack doggie…at least to me! Trump still pulled out of this “debate” looking very well according to a variety of news reports this AM. Good!

Iran doesn’t “play” nice either. Most of the time bullies only understand and respect someone who does not buckle under attack or cower behind political correctness to avoid criticism.
Trump answered the Mexico question, you just didn’t want to “hear” it. Most importantly, he is still one of the few to call illegal aliens by their real name, and declare that the Democrats’ objective is only votes–that working Americans are funding for them with giveaways to illegals.

Trump always answers the questions. We’re so used to the double speak of the politicians that we can’t recognize a direct answer. If he’s elected, our enemies will understand him, the speakers of the house and senate will understand him and the Democrats will understand him. Unfortunately he’s what this country needs at this time in history.
