Stumping Democrat National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz does not take a person of great intellect as Chris Mathews proves.
He asked Ms. Shultz one simple question that she spent a great amount of effort trying not to answer, and it is a question that many in America have been asking for decades.
Chris Mathews: “Yeah, but what’s the big difference between being a Democrat and being a socialist? You’re the chairwoman of the Democratic Party. Tell me the difference between you and a socialist.”
The DNC chair instead attempts (repeatedly) to turn the question into one that Mathews wasn’t asking.
Shultz: “The relevant debate that we’ll be having over the course of this campaign is what’s the difference between being a Democrat and being a Republican.”
