Debt Ceiling Vote: Look at the Hypocrites Come out.

The endless budget debate in Washington D. C. will ratchet up again next week as Democrats will push to raise the debt ceiling again, while Republicans will demand serious budget cuts in a trade-off for their support for raising the debt ceiling.  Make no mistake  either way, the people paying for all this will eventually see the debt ceiling risen, putting their children and grandchildren further in debt for decades to come.   Does anyone think that these elitist tyrants actually care ? Hell no, after all, they are spending your money. ( and your children’s money)  To add fuel to this pending financial Armageddon, is the recently exposed hypocricy of the Democrats previous votes on raising the debt ceiling in 2006.  Actions speak louder than words, and all the propaganda and spin in the world can not hide the truth to be found in the voting records from the 2006 debt ceiling votes. While this will become another Democratically controlled Senate vote against a Republican controlled House vote, with final approval needed from the Senate, we shall take a look at what happened in 2006.

Barack Obama voted against raising the debt ceiling in 2006, as an Illinois Jr. Senator. While he is on record waxing emphatically against raising the debt ceiling to pay for the two wars we were in back in 2006, we have to wonder why he says it must be risen today, considering we are currently in three wars. two which he has failed to withdraw us from and one he illegally injected us into when he bombed Libya without any direct threat from them to the U.S.  Obama’s only response to this proven hypocricy is to say his vote was a “simple mistake.”  For this pathetic type of political spin, I feel he should be named The Hypocrite in Chief from here on out.  If the shoe fits, Mr. President, wear it!  A brief explanation about the more recent debt ceiling chicanery can be seen here from Fox Business:

The U.S. debt ceiling has been raised 11 times since 1996, amidst a worldwide bubble in government as politicians the world over try to fix their economies by drinking themselves sober.

And as Congress has raised the government debt ceiling those 11 times, almost in lockstep, the Government Accountability Office could not sign off on the government’s books for 14 consecutive years, because its regular audits found the nation’s books in terrible disarray.  (emphasis mine)

In taking a look back at 2006, we see the unmistakable pattern of our government’s books being manipulated in so many ways that no one can decipher the real truth about our current fiscal status. This isn’t due to incompetence, so much as it is done by design to keep the people in the dark about America’s eventual bankruptcy and pending truth about U.S. loan repayment abilities.  That truth can be found in Barack Hussein Obama’s own words back in the Senate in 2006:

Notably, the president was against raising the debt ceiling before he was for it. On March 16, 006, then Illinois Senator Obama was opposed to hiking the ceiling, noting: “The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a  debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”    ( emphasis mine)

One one hand, I couldn’t agree with Senator Obama there, as leadership does start at the top, yet he should take notice that today he is the President of the United States of America , so this debt ceiling and budget quagmire reflect on his own failure to lead.  Too bad he can’t find a way to blame Bush for this one, as I,m sure he would like to.

When President Bush was pushing for the debt ceiling to be risen to in part help fund the war on terror that stemmed from over 3000 innocent Americans being murd-ered by Muslims in 2001 in a direct attack on the USA, the Democratic party of no voted 100% against raising the debt ceiling in the U.S. Senate. Their hypocritical excuses for their sudden turnaround in supporting the debt ceiling increase is nothing short of amazing, when we look at some of the Senate Democrats recent statements found on Politico

“I’m concerned how hard it is going to be to do it because these people want to govern by ideology,” said Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) of House Republicans, who faces voters in 2012, and voted against increasing the statutory debt limit in 2007 but supported a hike in 2010.

I’m not gonna play chicken with the notion that the United States would welsh on a debt,” said Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.). “I think that is wildly political and irresponsible.”

Every Senate Democrat that voted against raising the debt ceiling back in 2006, is all of a sudden not so concerned with America’s debt burden, and now say we must raise the debt ceiling !  And after 4 long years of House Democrats under Ex-Speaker Pelosi piling on the debt with crony-capitalism payback through massive bills laden with riders, amendments and Earmarks,  all of a sudden the powerless House Democrats are screaming for “clean bills.”     From Msn here we see this:

And in a letter to House Democrats, Rep. Peter Welch (D-VT) writes, “We ask you to convene a caucus to discuss and establish a Democratic position in favor of a clean extension of the debt ceiling. The debt ceiling vote is about one thing: affirming that America pays its bills. It does not authorize new taxpayer obligations; it affirms to the world our commitment to pay obligations already incurred.”

With the numerous hypocritical statements and outright refusal to accept their responsibility for said hypocricy in their voting records, these tyrants should not have to wonder why they have completely lost the trust of the American people one bit. They are proving to be untrustworthy through their own actions and words, right from the House and Senate Democrats to the current President of the United States of America.  We are broke and they want to continue to spend, period. Remember this when you go to cast your votes in 2012. This raising of the debt ceiling debate is no longer Democrats against Republicans, this is sanity and responibility vs. irresponsible spending and lunacy, along with a huge helping of disrespect for the American people footing the bill for decades to come. Remember exactly who is on the side of the taxpayers in 2012, and the fact proven right here, that  it sure as hell isn’t the hypocritical Democrats of today.
