The Democrat’s Shameless Lawfare against Trump and the American People

We just have to demonstrate that [Trump] will not take power if he does run by making sure under legitimate efforts [i.e., legal efforts] of our Constitution, he does not become the next president again.

Joe Biden, Nov. 10, 2022

The New York City Bragg [Hush money case] is the weakest criminal case I have seen in 60 years [practicing law].  I can’t imagine an appellate court upholding that but, you know, its New York.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, April 1, 2024

Trump will be convicted of a non-crime in Manhattan.

Alan Dershowitz, April 10, 2024

This week [Bragg’s trial] will highlight the damage done to New York’s legal system because of this unhinged crusade. They’ve charged [Trump] with everything short of ripping a label off a mattress.  Just a few weeks ago, another judge imposed a roughly half-billion-dollar penalty in a case without a single victim who lost a single cent with Trump. [All this over a “crime”] that is [really] a misdemeanour under state law that had already expired under the statute of limitations.

GWU Constitutional Law professor and liberal Democrat Jonathan Turley, April 15, 2024

[Bragg] is attempting to bootstrap [a] federal crime into a state case. … I think it’s … outrageous [and] illegally pathetic.

 Jonathan Turley, March 39, 2023

The Trump Trial in Manhattan is an Indictment of the New York Legal System … Trying Trump in Manhattan is about as difficult as the New York Yankees going to bat using beach balls rather than baseballs. It is hard to miss.

 Jonathan Turley, April 15, 2024

[Piers] Morgan [English broadcaster, journalist, writer, television personality] denounced the trial as “utterly ridiculous” and “the most-petty, … act of political suicide I’ve ever witnessed” [by] the prosecution, …

Foxnews, April 15, 2024

[Will Trump be convicted in the Bragg case?]  … He shouldn’t, but he’s going to get convicted. The jury’s going to hate him. Manhattan went 92%, between 87 and 92% for Joe Biden [in 2020]. That’s where this is going to be tried. These are not Trump lovers.

Former Fox News host and Trump critic Megyn Kelly (Albany Law J.D) Newsweek, March 28, 2024

There are eerie commonalities in all these five court cases involving plaintiff E. Jean Carroll, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, New York AG Letitia James, federal special counsel Jack Smith, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.  1.) They are either unapologetically left wing or associated with liberal causes. They filed their legal writs in big-city, left-wing America, Atlanta, New York, Washington, where liberal judges and jury pools predominate in a manner not characteristic of the country.  2.), They are overtly political. Bragg, James, and Willis have either campaigned for office or raised campaign funds by promising to get or even destroy Trump.

Victor David Hanson, Stanford University professor of History, Feb. 24, 2024

The Democrat elites have vast control:  It’s not just … the Biden administration.  It’s the media, the politicized DOJ. It’s the timing of all these charges against Trump. It’s not an accident [that] they want to hold multiple court hearings for these charges the day before “Super Tuesday”. It’s not an accident all … terrible things happening in our country right now are happening because the people in power right now care more about themselves and their power than they do about the country, the Constitution, our democracy.  They are setting this incredibly dangerous precedent, … much like many banana republics [that] weaponize [government] power to go after their political opponent.  … What the Democrats are justifying as defending democracy is actually destroying it.

Former Democrat Party rising star and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard (Rep-HI), Sept. 15, 2023

We’ve seen the laughably flawed indictment, and it was a body blow to American justice.  [I]f a jury with “Trump Derangement Syndrome” unfairly convicts Donald… our nation may never recover.

Alan Dershowitz, MAILOnline, May 5, 2023

[Bragg’s hush money case] may well result in a conviction … because the jurors are picked from the pool, 85% of whom voted against Donald Trump and probably hate Donald Trump and are going to try to hide that hatred in order to get on the jury to convict him

 Alan Dershowitz, April 17, 2024

I can’t go to [attend my case before] the Supreme Court.  That I’m not in Georgia or Florida or North Carolina campaigning like I should be is perfect for the radical left Democrats, that’s exactly what they want. This is about election interference, that’s all it’s about.”

Donald Trump, Forbes, April 15, 2024

[Judge Merchan’s] gag order is unconstitutional. You cannot prevent a defendant from attacking the witnesses … [T]he American public is sick and tired of seeing the legal system weaponized. … This case is paradigmatic election interference…. It’s not even a close question [that Judge Merchan should recuse himself].  [His daughter is] probably making money merely from the fact that he is sitting on the case. … That’s a conflict of interest.

Alan Dershowitz, April 17, 2024

Trump’s hush money trial is a ‘show’ put on by Democrats.

Fox Business host Stuart Varney

I could make the argument that Biden is a worse threat to democracy than Trump.

Former Democrat, now Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

In the end, they’re not coming after me, they’re coming after you and I just happen to be in the way.

Donald Trump, June, 2023

The absurd trial of Donald Trump for doing nothing illegal in a prohibitively Democrat Trump-hating district, Manhattan, is about to begin.  A recent AP/NORC poll found that only 35% of Americans believe Trump did anything illegal in this case.   Despite this, Trump cannot get a fair trial in New York.  For that reason, most of the Democrat and their “news”-media colluders are positively “giddy” that Trump is almost certain to be convicted of a non-crime.   This should not be a surprise since it was these same people that pushed the silly Trump-Russia collusion hoax based on a fake Russian dossier purchased by Hillary Clinton and the DNC to cheat the American people out of a free and fair election.  They have learned nothing and continue to fabricate one hoax after another and another to smear former president Donald Trump.  Since Biden’s policies are transparently disastrous, he cannot be re-elected without “lawfare” to destroy Trump.  Biden could have chosen to govern by enacting reasonable policies but the America-hating wing of his Party will not let him.

The preparation for this disgraceful “lawfare” attack on Trump was an 8-year campaign to gin-up hatred for Trump.  The creation of this hate campaign was necessary because the peasants will not convict Trump of a non-crime unless their reason has first been destroyed by a well-orchestrated program of emotional manipulation.   The Democrats are so afraid of Trump that partisan Democrat prosecutors are, following Biden’s own words, using legal means to insure “he does not become the next president again.

This deliberate strategy of hate, ginned up by one hoax after another against Trump, may be useful for the Democrat Party in its unrestrained push for money and power, and for its poodles in what remains of the “news” media, but it is exceedingly dangerous for our nation.  Allrational personswho live long enough will come to regret that these tactics were used, but by then it will to too late to reverse the destruction of a once great country.
