“I don’t know….I can’t”: Biden SCOTUS Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson Refuses To Answer Fundamental Questions (VIDEO)

Joe Biden’s nominee to the Supreme Court, a federal judge on the D.C. appellate court, began her confirmation hearings this week. Predictably, she faced easier-than-softball questions from like-minded Democrats; in one instance, Diane Feinstein simply read a recommendation letter for her. “I promise she will do great!” It would be insulting to children to say this is childish.

What was less predictable was how the GOP would respond to Brown Jackson’s nomination. Would they cave to Biden like they do to so much else? Would they lose this battle intentionally in the hopes of winning the impossible war against the left? Given McConnell’s coin-flip approach to resistance, anything was possible.

If the early goings are any indication, it looks as if there might be some fight left in the GOP after all.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) performed admirably on Monday, opening his own statements with the disclaimer that any hesitancy or resistance faced by the judge would be based solely on merit, qualifications, and her extant judicial record.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) followed up with his excellent weekend presentation on Twitter with the very disturbing revelations that Brown Jackson has a pattern and history of going soft on child predators. Is this someone who needs to be deciding cases on the greatest front in the war for civilization – that of the minds and souls of our children? I think not.

However, the GOP really shone when it allowed Senators John Kennedy and Marsha Blackbiurn, (R-LA) and (R-TN), respectively, to take control of the conversation. The following two clips provided me more hope that some within the Republican Party care about truth. It is nearly impossible to see them supporting a nominee with evasive non-answers to some of the easiest questions ever.

Here is Senator Kennedy asking his question:

SEN. KENNEDY: “When does life begin, in your opinion?”

JUDGE JACKSON: “Senator, um… I don’t know.”

And then here is Marsha Blackburn’s own questions:

SEN. BLACKBURN: “Can you provide a definition of the word ‘woman’?”

JACKSON: “No, I can’t”

BLACKBURN: “You can’t?”

JACKSON: “I’m not a biologist”

It is obvious why Brown Jackson refuses to answer those questions. She cannot allow herself to define a woman or describe when life begins, because both answers – if given in any form – would immediately demands constraints on leftist ideas. Democrats thrive when they can take a new position at any time to meet the needs of the moment.

Moreover, there is no good answer for her to give. Either she repeats the party line, which would come across as utterly ridiculous or she tells the truth, which would absolutely expose the Democrats for the frauds they are.
